Rated 5 out of 5 by mellen Perfect size and weight, peace of mind in hostels
Planning travel in hostels and low cost country inns in Europe. Hoping for a clean and bug-free environment, but also taking some precautions. Initially ordered the S2S Coolmax Adaptor liner pretreated with permethrin, but found it on the bulky side for my needs. This one cost a little more but is a natural fabric, packs tiny, weighs 6 oz. The blue color is lovely and will be visible so I won't risk forgetting it when I pack up in a hurry in the morning. I plan to spray permethrin before leaving and it should be fine. It's washable and feels downright luxurious, and the stretchy sides mean that you really don't feel confined or risk tearing seams. Looks very well made. I am delighted with the product and have already used it as an extra cover on a trip, when I needed to be a little warmer in a drafty bedroom, and it was perfect. I bet that alone it could also be great as a light cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdirondackShopper Just What Needed
I gave this to my son who often goes backpacking. If he is traveling and not backpacking, he stays in hostels.
He wanted this for multi use- liner, use alone (use sleeping bag as extra cushion and use liner to sleep in during hot weather) or as bed linen for hostel stays.
In cold weather it is a great layer inside the sleeping bag for warmth.
This liner is soft, very lightweight, packs small.
Silk is a fantastic fabric- breathable, warm, comfortable.
It is not flimsy, it is silk.
It is not obvious but a great feature are the side stretch panels that "give" while moving around during use.
Added plus, the color Pacific is lovely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by marienkaefer could be a practical item if of good quality
I ordered this sleeping bags for my daughter & son-in-law. For them it would have been a very useful item for their travels. For the price we expected something of good quality. When they were looked at the seams especially at the pillow inserts were either not sawn up completely and some seams were looking as they might unravel after use. I sent them back for a refund.
I am a frequent customer and have mostly good experiences with L.L.Bean quality - this was a disappointment and lack of quality control. As they are leaving I did not order an exchange also for fear that replacements would have the same problems.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 2224 Hard to get out of
I purchased the Summit Silk Sleeping bag for camping , and travel.
I have two complaints with the bag. First , it is difficult to get out of. The sides are sewn completely up and you need to crawl out of the bag. I think that it would easily tear. Also the stuff sack would be great if I could get it back inside. If the stuff sack could be 1 inch larger it would fit. I do like the weight which is very light and the material is very nice. I will return this and look for something that I can out of easier.

Incredibly light, yet provides warmth when it's chilly and air circulation when it's hot. It's also easy to care for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StayFitForever Very Lightweight, Adds Warmth
I used this on my seven hour transatlantic flight, and it kept me warm and comfortable. The silk felt soft against my skin. This liner also kept me comfortable during my layover while I waited for my connecting flight.
I like that it is small and lightweight and can easily fit into a purse or carry on. I plan on packing this with me whenever I travel; I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kisa surprisingly durable
At first glance this liner did seem flimsy and cheaply made, and I didn't expect it to last. But two years later the liner is still going strong! It's been halfway around the world and back with me and I haven't encountered one problem. I've used it as a sheet in hotel and motel rooms, international hostels, and as a liner inside a sleeping bag. I often use it as a blanket on long international flights. I especially like how incredibly lightweight the liner is, how easy it is to pack and wash. For its miniscule weight it provides a surprising amount of comfort. I am very attached to this liner and won't travel without it. One thing I would improve is a longer side slit or opening to make it easier to get in and out of (a zipper would add too much unnecessary weight).

Rated 5 out of 5 by 11141114 No cool spots
The main thing I have observed while using this silk liner with a down bag is, after getting in the liner, then zipping up the bag, there is immediate warmth, no cool spots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AntAnt Very Lightweight, Very Thin, Very Cheaply Made
This product is light, thing, and very poorly constructed. Extremely overpriced product. Do not expect this product to last. It is not up to the "LLBean Quality" level.
