Blooming Circles and Ruffle Quilt in King and Queen that I received were larger than spec. Kings were 108x98 at least, which was much larger overall than I wanted. Even with my 13-inch tall mattress and regular box spring, the Kings hung way past 1/2 way. The Blooming circles is much "creamier" than white. The Queen as well, was larger than spec. In my opinion, the 95" is too long for the length of a quilt: I do not want my quilt to drape way over the pillow/head end of the bed; I would like it to just come to the top of the bed with an inch or 2 to spare. With my 13-inch mattress, 85" is a bit skimpy on the width, 88 would be better as a minimum. The Ruffle quilt has a fair amount of white so it looks nice with a white dust ruffle. I was hoping the dark flowers were navy, but they are brown. The ruffle bands on the quilt are not edge stitched, they are raw, I have not washed it yet, so I do not know if they will unravel during laundering.
I wish the shams were made so their fabric was horizontal as the quilt is. It is a pretty quilt, with soft, soothing colors. I bought the one with red in it because I wanted more vibrancy than the more monochromatic looking blue and green one. My husband would have preferred that one.
It is pricey, but it does cost a lot more to piece all of the fabrics together. Most of the other quilts I have seen recently, including the Blooming Circles, are called "whole cloth" and are printed on one piece of fabric, which is a much cheaper process. I have not found anything we both like better, so I think I am going to keep it. It is a great weight-I am a hot sleeper and have had problems finding a quilt we both like that I can sleep under.

L.L.Bean really delivered on this purchase! I received it a day earlier then expected. When I received it and opened my quilt, it was more beautiful then any catalog photo can display. This isn't my first purchase from L.L.Bean, that's why they were my first choice in buying a new quilt. I bought a quilt from them over 15 years ago, and its still holding up. I bought a king bed and the queen quilt I bought 15 years ago was too small for it. I love the durability of L.L.Bean products! I am a life customer.

I absolutely love this quilt! Fits my queen perfectly and washes well. I was afraid to wash but it didn't change the ruffling at all. I washed it in my HE large capacity top loader. Highly recommend!

This colorful, generously sized quilt is beautiful and practical. It meets both my desire for form and my husband's need for function. We are warm and cozy under it's all-cotton comfort. It brightened our room and looks great either with white or ecru accessories such as a bed skirt and/or curtains.
One review was disappointed in the dimensions of the quilt, but I measured ahead of time and found it to be just the size we anticipated. It fully covers our mattress and extends well over the top of the bed skirt.
I know we'll enjoy it for years!

The ruffles on this quilt are made of narrow strips of fabric gathered and stitched to the surface of the quilt with a solid seam down the middle. However, I was surprised to see that the sides of the strips are held to the quilt with light-weight tacking stitches. In addition, the edges of the strips are unfinished, and slightly frayed. The effect is relatively attractive at this point, but I was concerned that use and washing would increase the fraying and/or damage the tacking stitches. This would be an aesthetic issue only, the basic construction of the quilt is rugged. However, I returned the quilt. The on-line images do not show the construction detail of the ruffles, unfortunately.

I've had this a few weeks now and I really like it. I think I'll use it year round. I was worried about it looking "granny-like" but it really doesn't. I was looking for something other than just a plain comforter and this fit the bill. It added a pattern and some color to my bedroom. I got a king size for my queen bed that has a 13" mattress. There is definitely enough overhang on the sides. Maybe I would have been ok ordering a queen but I'm keeping the king. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very good weight for a quality quilt. Queen size was not a true fit for a queen size bed. Ordered the king and it fit fine...Don't order the queen size if you have queen bed. Check the actual measurements before you order.

Simply Beautiful Quilt & Matching Shams in my Shabby Sheik Bedroom that looks over the Chesapeake Bay! Fabric is fine, no issues. Very easy quilt to have on my bed with my two rambunctious male cats that play & sleep on my bed. It is a keeper!

This is an exceptional quilt. It is in the style of "Shabby Chic", meaning it has colorful ruffles and bands of colorful prints in a free-form style with unfinished edges. The nice part is that it not only looks good but the weight of the quilt is substantial.

We ordered this for our bedroom but were disappointed when it arrived. It doesn't look much like the photo online. The colors are much more muted, the stitching much more noticeable and it was very old-fashioned (which is to say old-person-ish) looking. We're in our 40's but it looked like something my grandma would have. We sent it back.
