I could not believe the superior quality of these sheets-I've bought three sets of the floral percale, shams, and most recently, the floral duvet cover. Soft but not too soft, the fold-over top of the sheet stays flat, ample fit, but best of all, very few wrinkles. No more fancy French linens for me! I'm sold on L.L.Bean bedding and will only purchase sheets etc. from L.L.Bean.

I loved the sheets when I first got them. Had them on the bed for about three days with a mattress that is memory foam. The third night I put my elbow down to reach over and pet my cat, and!.....The sheet "tore" under my elbow in a 6 inch rip! No play in the material.
Back they go.

Yes, the cotton fabric is soft, practically wrinkle free, generous. That gives it one star. There is nothing to give these sheets additional stars, in my opinion.
The construction is very cheap. The elastic in the fitted sheet floats loosely inside the hem all around, is not sewn down with a stretch stitch to keep it in place (as some other Bean sheets are), so the fabric slides around the elastic and bunches up unevenly as you handle it. Very chintzy. It feels like you're wrestling with it when making the bed.
The header band on the flat sheet is only 3 1/4" wide and nothing special. It has a bargain-basement look.
All the seams are single-stitched. The thread shrank on the flat sheet in the wash, so the hems are now slightly puckered. I'm afraid that in time, stress on the seams will break them.
For $65 for one full sheet I expect exceptional quality in every way. The only reason I kept the set is that I'd been looking for the perfect print for my guest room for years. I sew, so I stitched the elastic down myself. I should not have had to do this.

Love how soft these sheets came out of the wash. Very pretty pattern, too. Like them so much that I just purchased another set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WestervilleShopper Nice blue print, extra threads to trim
These sheets are roomy - they are over-sized and there is plenty of room for shrinkage. The print is very nice, and they do not appear wrinkled fresh out of the dryer. I only like printed sheets. I hate solids for some reason. These sheets are not as nice as the Vintage Green sateen print that I bought over the summer. Also, I had to trim off some long threads from the edges. I hope that the quality proves to be good. I also only gave 4 stars rather than 5 because these are pricey. I checked around on other sites and good quality sheets have hard to come by. These seemed to be at least decent. Am I the only person who misses the domestic textile industry?

Purchased flat, fitted and pillowcases, colors are beautiful, sheets wellmade and worth the extra money. . . this is a good example of how you get what you pay for!

I purchased the floral and pink and washed them before using. They came out of the dryer without wrinkles and we love the feel of these on our bed. They have the elestic and stay on the bed without wrinkles. These sheets make you want to go to bed and sleep.

These sheets are of a substantial weight, not heavy but nothing like the cheap feeling thin sheets I've had so often in the past. Even the higher thread count sheets can't compare with these. They are absolutely beautiful and truly do come out of the dryer wrinkle free. They feel great against my skin and are an aid to a great night's sleep. Try them and I think you will love them every bit as much as I do.
