I cannot understand why LLBean has posted all the other reviews to date on this sofa. This is a new, improved model and all four other reviews are from people who bought the previous model years ago.
So please trust me. I had one of their former models for years, and I just bought the new one. It's wonderful. Comfortable. Easy to move. Stylish and attractive. I bought the sofa, chair and ottoman and everyone loves the set. I have 2 orange cats and cat hair is easily removed and does not accumulate much. The fabric is sturdy and easy on the skin. I purchased the burgundy - it's a muted color, very pretty.
One important point is that even though I ordered these 3 pieces in two separate orders (chair and ottoman on one, sofa on the other), the dye lots of all three match perfectly.
This is a fantastic price for this sofa. It's very sturdy at first and over a few months easily softens enough to be even more comfortable, comfortable enough to sleep on.
The ends of the sofa are rounded and very comfortable places to rest one's head.
Delivery was just 4 weeks from ordering. The sofa was well packaged and easy to move into the living room from the garage on my own (I'm a 66-yo female).
I really can't think of anything negative to say about this. Please take the other reviews as reflections on a previous model, not this one.

I received the couch, chair, and ottoman as a gift from my parents in the purchase of my first house. Pros: definitely is light, I can move it easily, and I think it's stylish. Cons: It is already showing signs of wear after only 8 months - the side we sit on the most is sagging so I wonder how much it will sag a few years in. Also, as others have noted, the cushions slide out when you sit on them and we are constantly pushing them back in. Unfortunately the 2 cons outweigh the 2 pros. I am not a big fan - I may look into the pine point couch instead.

I reviewed this couch about a month ago - was very disappointed. I called LLBean after having the couch and loveseat for almost 3 months. They arranged to have it sent back - no questions asked! And, as I have an llbean visa, I didn't have to pay return shipping! LLBean is a class company. Will do business with them for many years to come. While I wouldn't recomment this couch, I would definitely recommend LLBean!

Delivered about 6 weeks ago.
I really love the color and style, and these look great in the living room. As others had mentioned, the cushions were a bit firm at first, but broke in fairly quickly and are good now. Be a little patient. They do tend to make you sit forward, unless you purposefully sit way way back, and like to travel outward a bit.
I could be fine with these things, except the fabric does not appear to be holding up very well. It is not as thick as most upholstery fabrics and is already showing pulls here and there where pets walk and people sit. I tend to hold onto my furniture for the long haul, and I'm concerned that this fabric will not hold up far into the future. Maybe the denim or leather would be great, but the fabric ... not sure.
Sorry, I may be returning these.

I know others feel the cushions slide forward, but personally I think this is an extremely comfortable couch to sit on and looks great. Occasionally I do push the cushions back but it is no big deal to have to do. Bought the ottoman to go with it and it makes a wonderful set. Years ago I bought the LLBean couch and it took awhile to "break-in" and get comfortable. This new couch that I bought was immediately comfortable. I am extremely happy that I bought it and am thinking of buying the chair to go with the set.
I'm so thankful for LLBean furniture!

Bought this couch and loveseat combo a couple of months ago. So disappointed! Wish I would have listened to the earlier reviews and no the one stating that it had been improved. I do like the look and fabric, but as several other reviewers wrote the cushions constantly slide forward and I am always pushing them back, which is difficult because the cushions are tight and the fabric doesn't slide. Unless you intentionally make sure the cushion is pushed back and you sit directly toward the back, you feel like you're sliding forward. Wish I would have sent them back immediately, but thought I'd give them a chance, that maybe once they were broke in a little, they would be better. Now I'm stuck with them :(

We ordered the couch, chair, and ottoman. The fabric was beautiful ~ great texture and felt like it would hold up. When we sat on it, we were sitting forward, like we were being pushed forward. It was not comfortable and hard. The cushions fit too tightly together and I was pushing them back at the end of each day. I was hoping this set would work and was trying to make it work. I will say, L.L. Bean was great to deal with for the return.

We ordered the sofa, two chairs and an ottoman. The reviews on here seem pretty accurate. They are light, well-made, and seem like they are built to last. The fabric is rugged, yet soft and comfortable and the colors are really great. Two things of which to be aware:
1) delivery is to the curb, not in your home, and they don't give you much notice. They will call the day before and give you half a day window for delivery, so half a day off of work is necessary.
2) although the sofa and chairs are definitively comfortable, they seem to push you forward when seated and sit you more erect than I would have thought. I think this might dissipate as the cushions are broken in because they seem very buoyant at the moment, but will possibly soften up.
Overall though, I think they are a great value and we are very happy with them.

I purchased two of the sofas in sage and am quite pleased with them - the color is very neutral and the sofas are a great value. The light weight but sturdy construction makes them very easy for one person to rearrange them as needed.
The only problem (which is not LL Bean's fault) is that the delivery company would not drive down our dead end street for fear of not being able to turn the truck around in the cul de sac. Luckily my Dad had a truck so we could move them ourselves.

We purchased the sofa, chair and ottoman. We love the burgandy color and the the lightness of the pieces. The dog and cat love it too. We would recommend to anyone looking for value and durability.
