In the week, approximately, that my husband and I have slept on this topper, we have slept SOOOO....much better. I wake up less at night and wake up with much less achiness. I am so much more flexible also when I get up in the morning. I have sleep apnea and better sleep is always very important to me. My husband is also sleeping much better and said he'd give it a 10;)
THANK YOU for the best product so far and I have many of your great products. Treat yourself to this topper, you need it and don't know it!

Other reviewers have mentioned a particular odor or aroma. There is no aroma whatsoever on our sample.
My shoulders don't hurt in the mornings anymore with this pad. It was easy to put on with two people and overall works perfectly for us.

Well, I have to say, it is very cosy and I would give it 5 stars for comfort, but I am returning it because it smells just awful. I thought a week outside in the New Mexico sunshine would fix it, and it did to some extent. But when I brought it back inside and put it on the bed, it seemed like the smell gradually got stronger and stronger again to the point where I could not sleep on it. We had to launder all the other bedding too to get rid of the residual smell...

We have a queen sized name-brand memory foam bed that has always been too firm for me. I like to sleep on my side and the circulation in my arms would be cut off by the pressure created on this mattress. I had to turn over turn over every 15 minutes which diminished a good night's sleep. That problem has been eliminated with this topper and I finally sleep well again. It is just thick enough and soft enough to illuminate any pressure points.
We detected no odor and it fit our mattress quite well. The topper dimensions are 2" shorter and 2" narrower than a standard queen sized bed, which provides a 1" narrower border on all sides. I suspect it was sized this way so fitted sheets will still go over the topper and underlying mattress.

I purchased this mattress pad to place on top of a good-quality, but too-firm mattress. It fit well, and was soft and comfortable. It also smelled extremely strongly of chemicals/plastic foam.
We took the pad out of its cover and put it outside to air on a cool, sunny day; by day's end the mattress still smelled about the same. Into the mudroom next, for about a week... still smelled, and was beginning to look a bit more the worse for wear, too.
About two weeks in, and we're going to return this. We still haven't slept on it, due to the smell. The pad might possibly be fine for some folks, but for our noses it just smells too strongly to sleep comfortably with.

After subjecting our guests to a hard futon mattress for so many years, I finally found a mattress topper that allowed our latest guest to get a comfortable, good night's sleep. And it didn't smell, as did other foam tops I purchased elsewhere (and returned) did. Four stars would be five stars if the mattress topper were not so expensive. I feel it is exorbitantly priced, an unusual feature for an llBean item. But the price is (almost) worth it.

My mattress should really be replaced one of these days, but given the economy I decided to try a mattress topper to see if I can spare myself the expense for a little while longer. I researched a lot of mattress toppers and was impressed with the customer reviews for this one. LL Bean has never let me down in terms of quality, so I decided to give it a try. So far I love it! It arrived quickly and since the very first night it has provided me with much better sleep. I didn't have any fit issues like other customers mentioned. This mattress topper is definitely worth every penny. Thank you, LL Bean!

This topper was our 'less expensive' alternative to buying a new mattress for a guest room. After my own recent surgery, I've slept on it 2 1/2 weeks and am now ready to buy another for my own bed. It is wonderfully welcoming, all night long--and I have had to sleep only on my back since surgery.

This mattress is very comfy and I think we are sleeping better. The only issue I have is that it is not big enough for our queen bed. It is short--I'm wondering if this is because the mattress has been squished down from years of sleeping on??? I am going to order one for each of my children!
Is the king size more a match for a queen bed?
