Booker loves this bed. He's getting too old to jump on my bed, so thought this would be a great compromise. I have to agree with the peeps and sizing - my 100lb lab fits nicely in the large. I suppose if you wanted your buddy to be able to fully stretch out without feet hanging off, xl would be appropriate.
I don't feel it's that difficult to clean. I find putting the bed in first, then the arms makes it easier to stuff. Just grab slanted end of arm & pull your arm all the way to end, grab pillow from outside with other hand & it's easy enough.
You'll be sure to have a best friend for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Nana8809 Way Too Large According to Your Sizing Information
This is our second dog bed from LLBean, the first one having been ordered 5-6 years ago. Wears like iron; washes well, too. However, our dog weighs 75 lbs., and the large bed for dogs weighing 60-90 lbs. is way too big for her. Hate having to exchange it, but the medium size was perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5áby DogsLandlord Well loved, but ripped out easily
Well favored support for an elderly dog. Bolsters support nicely for comfort. Unfortunately cover did not match the rugged name of LL Bean, as it wore through a 1" tear/rip within 6 months, so still had to use secondary dog blanket over the main cushion. At this price point, hoped for much more durable & longer lasting cover.

Frequently purchase various itms from L L Bean and recommend the company to others. This time I am disappointed. The materials are quality but the design is difficult to work with. I sew (create) many items: everything from bikinis to boat covers. I have lots of experience in design based on function and ease of use. This bed is most difficult to stuff the 'pillows' into their respective side slots.
There should be a zipper along each side of the top pillows or at least one zipper opening near the front end of the top side pillows allowing you to put your hand in to pull the pillow forward. I never machine dry the cover due to the shrinkage that would result. Nevertheless, the fabric did shrink some making it even more difficult to replace the pillows. I dread washing it because of the struggle to re-stuff the pockets.

I LOVE this bed. I was surprised to read some of the reviews stating this dog bed was not durable. It is extremely durable and is pretty much dirt and water repellent. The quality is exactly what I'd expect from LLBean. Oh and my 70lb Black lab loves it!

Just received the bed I've been waiting for. First I had to put it together and being elderly it was very difficult for me. Second, it's lumpy, I've tried moving the stuffing but it just sticks to one side. Looking at the quality I could have gone to a cheap pet supply place instead of paying all this money. What is the deal with the inside stuffing?

I no longer have to confine my six year old lab when I am out of the house. She prefers her couch to mine. I can leave her home alone for 7-9 hours and she no longer climbs on my couch or bed!
Why didn't I get one six years ago?.

I have sent this product back three times! LLBeans returns are easy . However the product in which they produce is no longer of quality. I keep hoping that I'm going to get a good product and time and time again I am very disappointed. I Returned the last dog bed for, the last time and will try a dog bed for another company to see if they can produce a product that will not fall apart at the seams.

We purchased this bed in medium for our 50 lb, 11 yr old Aussie. Perfect size, easy to assemble, nice looking. She loves it, so do we.

Rated 3 out of 5áby PremiumDogCouch Premium Dog Couch seams keep pulling apart.
I purchased an XL Premium Dog Couch about a year ago for my two Great Danes to use in the back of my van. After about two months the bolster seams had almost all pulled apart and one of the dogs started ripping up the filler cushions that were poking out everywhere. I returned the bed and got a replacement. The second one lasted a bit longer but again the seams ripped out and the dogs started tearing up the cushions. I replaced it again and the third one didn't even last a month before all the bolsters had come apart. The fourth one lasted several months but the fabric in the center wore through and again the dogs started pulling art the filling bags.
I like the beds for their size and the dogs seem comfortable in them but I wish they were made sturdier to accomodate big dogs and stitched together with better fabric and thread. This is a lot of money for a dog bed and it should hold up better than they seem to. Now I have to go get another replacement and hope it will last a little longer.
