Rated 4 out of 5 by Cosmolina Great bed but dogs are not so sure
I love LLB products and have purchased many "dog" items in the past, including the tempurpedic dog beds which they didn't take to right away but have lasted well over the past 3 years. Our 2 Great Danes (165# + 115#) eventually scratched so hard they created a depression in the middle of each mattress in which to curl up. Amazingly the denim covers didn't show any wear!
So this go around I thought that the polyfill in the premium dog couch would be a safe bet. Same great cover but with a softer fill. I also purchased the waterproof liner cover (just in case there were any accidents). Unfortunately both dogs seem to be avoiding their new beds! Maybe it's the bolster or the less stable feel of the polyfill? Not sure. I've tried to make it more to their liking - putting their fleece LLB dog blankets on top, adding a crate liner for firmer support - but no luck.
I am heartbroken after spending quite a bit of $$$.
I still think these are great beds - quality product made to last so I would recommend to others. One thing to note - The polyfill is compressible, so if your dog is heavy (more than 125#), it will not give much support.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hjau67 Good Quality - Both my labs fit in the large.
The cover is a wonderful quality. The inside is fine but I expected the material to be a little more dense and supportive so I likely should have bought the therapeutic version. The large is HUGE. I have two LABS (one 85 pounds and the other about 70 pounds) and they both easily fit in this bed with room for myself and our tabby cat who seems to like the bed the very best. As I had it shipped to Canada, I am not going to bother sending it back but I will order the medium as well for another room...which I should have ordered in the first place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CJGBuffalo85 X-Large Dog Bed: A Dream Come True...
After purchasing a few beds that simply missed the mark, in both comfort and durability, I decided to purchase the X-large bed for my 3 year old, 100lb, chocolate Labrador. Simply put: the bed is absolutely amazing! The material is canvas/jean-like and thus, is extraordinarily durable. More importantly, it is comfortable (my boy has never slept so well)! Although he is a large dog, he looks like a baby in this bed (it can fit both of us, and I am 6'1, 185lbs - and yes, I often rest with him, it's that comfortable). If you have a furry family member that you love to spoil, this is the bed for you!

by ThomasMom Too Big
The dog bed is awesome, my dog and my son love it - but it is WAY too big. If it weren't for the inconvenience of trying to package it up and return it, I probably would have exchanged it. Our 1 year old lab is between 80-90 pounds so we got a large. We could have easily used a medium since he's a curler not a sprawler. But, the flip side is, the larger bed allows my son space to get on there with the dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by student374 Dog loves her new bed!
I have a 10 1/2 yr old cockapoo, she was having trouble jumping on bed, so I got this in hopes that she would find comfort in sleeping there. She loves it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tik82 Excellent dog bed
Be sure you get one large enough for the dog to completely stretch out!!
My dog loves the bolsters, on which she rests her head and neck frequently......she loves it, and will lie on it even though she is allowed up on the furniture and pretty much anywhere in the house. Its "her" bed!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jennydad L.L. Bean dog beds - quality!
We have a 15 year old L.L. Bean dog bed that has seen extensive use. It keeps going strong and it still looks great. Tonight, we passed it on to an old blind Rottweiler who promptly curled up into it and fell asleep. It touched my soul to see that. Lots of great memories, courtesy of L.L. Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PWCLover Love Bed - Dislike Colors
My Pembroke Welsh Corgi absolutely loves this bed [size medium] as he loves to rest his head on the bolsters. It's his favorite bed and, believe me, he has quite a few of them.
I would like to order another one but do not like your color options. I prefer the forest green to the moss green and do not like the rust color at all. I also purchased this bed with the plaid fleece cover and see that is no longer an option? I think you should bring it back as you do offer it on your traditional beds.
Like many of the other reviewers, I have had a hard time inserting the bolsters. I don't know if you've made modifications since I purchased my bed a few years ago but one suggestion would be to have zippers along each bolster so one could easily insert each pillow.
One final comment. I wish this bed could be monogrammed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wordsmith Success!
After throwing out yet another (cheaper) dog bed that fell apart after 2 years, I got this for my two dogs who like to sleep in the same bed. I also got a replacement cover to rotate when it's time for the wash. The dogs love it and it looks so much neater in our bedroom than other beds we've had. It's a bit of a project to re-stuff the bolster inserts, but the results are worth it. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DCBarooo Dog LOVES it but...
This bed has made my dog happier than a sidewalk paved with bacon. He LOVES it! The only drawback is that while it's easy to zip off for cleaning, it's really hard to get back on. It's hard to stuff the sides back in. Would be helpful if the far corner had a small opening for pulling, such as with duvet covers. Also, I have the khaki and it looks dirty immediately after washing it.
