Overall, I really like these hats (and the matching gloves) and would recommend them. We bought two -- one for my 8 year old son and one for my 4 year old daughter -- to match their LL Bean coats/bibs. The kids say they are warm and the sides come down enough to cover their ears. The only negative (which is why I have 4 stars instead of 5) is that the inner liner is not stitched to the top of the hat (or anywhere inside) so it often needs to be adjusted and moved around when putting on the kids. My 8 year old does this with ease but my 4 year old has some difficulty putting on the hat or fixing it if it comes off outside in a snowball fight. I'd recommend these for purchase mainly because they are warm and match the LL Bean coats. I hope LL Bean fixes the liner issue when it comes time to buy larger sizes next winter.

I bought the 3 in 1 parka for both of my grandsons and purchased the flame hats and gloves to match. The hat is a warm fleece and the gloves are well insulated and a perfect match. Since they are Christmas Gifts, they haven't seen them yet, but I'm sure that they will be a huge hit!
I love the fact, that each year, Bean provides matching hats and gloves for most of their outterwear. It's great that I don't have to go on a search for matching accessories, and hope that the colors are the same.

I have 2 sons and bought each of them a fleece flame hat. They love them! They are nice and warm and match their parkas perfectly. I would definitely buy them again.

I purchased that hat for my grandson, it's a perfect hat. The material is soft & fits perfectly... as usual, Bean comes through for me.

Really nice hat, great design but it didn't fit. Looks mushed on top. Something just wasn't right. We returned it.

Light hat, but warm! Good size too! It goes perfect with the LLBean parka I bought my grandson for winter. He was all smiles with the purchase. He loves the flames on the hat!

My 4 year old (who is obsessed with everything Firefighters) thinks this hat is so cool! He wanted to wear it the day it came in the mail - it was 80 degrees out!! Medium is a little big, but he prefers it that way.

Ordered this for my tall 2 year old and he loves it. He did not want to take it off when it came. It is a bit big for my guy, but it is cute and the toddler hats were not as versatile. Wish it came in a few more colors to coordinate with more jackets (such as the red/charcoal. Maybe next year?). Washes well and still looks new.
Soft, comfortable fleece hat for kids in a cool design--great.

My 11 year old daughter LOVES this hat. It keeps her warm, and she's even been caught sleeping in it. :)
