Absolutely superb product.
I thought the advertising may have hyped these mats, but they are way better than advertised.
Truly one of the L. L. Bean signature products.

We have 5 of them at our home in the Adirondacks. Work well at keeping water and dirt to a minumum.

I have two of these mats outdoors and love them , however, I wish you would offer this pattern in the smaller 18 x 28 size for inside smaller homes. I see you offer the "dog bone" but it doesn't match my décor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuzieQZZZ Awesome rug!
We are using this rug inside the house at the front door entrance. It fits perfectly. It is attractive, but it blends into the hardwood so you your eye is not drawn to it.
We purchased two of the LLBean Waterhog door mats for our front and back doors last year. They are also awesome! They still look brand new. They collect debris and water and help to keep our home attractive and clean.
Thank you LLBean!

Rated 3 out of 5 by osami "swatch color" still wrong
Waterhog Mats are high quality. Colors (swatches) are still wrong and misleading. Discontinue terracotta or correct the color samples. It is not tan/light brown as shown. Customers, if you order terracotta, you will receive a "garden clay pot" off red. If I could do it all over again, I would order brown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fourleggedlover Good clean look
I've bought 2 of these door mats, the waterhog pet mats and just received a waterhog runner. I really like the product. As other reviews have stated, they vaccum up nicely, they stay in place and they seem to keep the dirt on the mat as opposed to having it tracked all over the house. Yes, they may be pricey, but you get what you pay for. Not only that, but with LL Beans very generous return policy, you can't lose.

I was smiling before even taking my rug out of the box, the color was much brighter than I expected. I immediatly replaced the pricey gel mat that I had. This rug lays flat on the floor, and I feel safer and sure footed when I stand on it. Love it,Love it

This is a great mat. It looks good and it helps to stop the water from being tracked in on my hardwood floors. My only regret is that I didn't order it sooner. Love It!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by diane58 Best door mat you can EVER GET!
I want to use this outside, but w/the winter weather here, I opted to now put it inside. I'm wondering if it will ever get out there???? Or am I to get another and use that one outside? It DOES hold the water well. I walk over it as I'm coming through my side door. And it holds the water from my boots VERY WELL! I have NO complaints. It's heavy and stays put!(Unlike other rugs I've had!) My floors are nice and dry thanx to using this great rug! I have NOT a single complaint! And better yet, It's made in USA! (For those who like things Made in USA!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by NorthofSF More of a "Water Piglet"
I ordered the 2'X3' Waterhog Mat in the waffle texture, and the cedar color was just what I was expecting. The mat is attractive and I like its low profile. However, until the past couple of days, I was unable to judge its "water hogging" properties due to a prolonged lack of rain in California. I rarely use the door in front of which I've placed this mat, but went in and out just twice today during a rainstorm (a very welcome rainstorm). Both times, even after standing on the mat and wiping my feet for a good length of time, my shoes (which have a smooth tread that doesn't trap a lot of water) were still too wet to walk on my hardwood floors. After another trip outside, I had to place pet potty pads on top of the mat to absorb the water from my shoes. Of course, I could just remove my shoes and leave them on the mat -- which I'll do in future -- but I expected something named "Water Hog" to do a bit better job of absorbing water from shoes that had only taken a few steps onto a wet outdoor deck. It's still a great mat to use for wiping dust and debris from shoes, but as far as being good at absorbing water, I'm sorry to have to say that it's not.
