Rated 3 out of 5 by PacifcNorthwesterner Sleeves are too long
I received this jacket as a Christmas gift but had to return it because the sleeves were too long. Initially I thought I received a Tall size because the sleeves were 2 inches longer than normal. I don't keep clothes that don't fit and returned this jacket.
Other than the sleeves, I thought the fit was good. I also liked the material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LongDuckDong Very Nice...
Im 6' 190lb and ordered the XL. I wear XL tshirts, polos, etc. I found this jacket to fit perfectly. It is a tailored type of cut, so I can understand some of the reviews saying its snug in the shoulders but it was fine for me. I wear a 44 Regular suit/jacket if that helps. The sleeves might be 1/2 inch too long but no biggie. The L size would defenitely be too small I believe.
This jacket is very warm, but not bulky at all. It cuts the wind incredibly due to its thick material. In the short time Ive owned it I've been in 60 degree weather and windy 30's and it was great. Versatile jacket here. Very pleased with this purchase, and considering buying another color as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NewToLLBean2 Nice quality but definitely not a close fit
This is a nice jacket that appears to be well-built, warm, reasonably water-repellent, etc. My only reservation is with the fit. If you're on the tall and skinny side like me (6'2"; 160lbs), I would not give much credence to the description "closer fit." When they say "slightly fitted," the emphasis is on the "slightly." Mine is still loose and baggy in the waist and chest. The sleeves, on the other hand, fit me perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ilovesummertime Perfect for school!
I purchased this jacket last spring for my son. He attends a prep school in Maine and has a very cold walk from class to class. He wore it up until Christmas break, when it appears to have walked away with one of the other students going home for Christmas vacation. I just ordered another one, which he will wear when we break out of these below zero temperatures. It repels rain and snow, yet is light enough to be comfortable when going to various classes. I was so happy to see them on sale. He likes the black, which sold out very shortly after I made my purchase. The other colors look very nice also. He is 6'4" and weighs 195 pounds. The large tall fits beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Creekwalker17 Excellent Soft-shell
I received this as a Christmas gift and am very pleased. I've never owned a soft-shell jacket and am very surprised at how warm they are compared to the heavier fleece jackets I normally wear. Great freedom of movement, especially around the shoulders, and a very nice cut for a fitted jacket. If you're in the market for a good soft-shell, this is you're best bet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by midwestmojo An excellent find!
I was very pleasantly surprised buying this jacket only from the catalog. It fits well. I love the material; it's got the warmth of fleece but is water resistant so that going out in a light rain, I still get the benefit of its warmth and don't absorb the water unlike regular fleeces. Nice pockets inside for storing small stuff (including a light cap for cold days). All in all, I'm very pleased with it.

I bought this jacket for my 13 yr old son who doesn't like to wear heavy coats. He really likes the light weight and look of it. If he is happy, then I am happy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by WashDChiker Sending it back
I purchased two of these jackets, one in black and one in blue.I had high hopes but, alas, I am returning both of them. While the material is nice and the coat seems warm, the cut is very boxy and ill fitting. I am 5'9, about 170lbs and athletic and the medium was way too large and fit like a sail. Also, the sleeves are way too long.

When purchasing this jacket two weeks ago in Freeport, I asked the salesman if it was temperture rated and how warm it would be. He didn't know, but I purchased it anyway.
Don't purchase this item for its warmth. In the thirties you need a heavy sweater under; in the twenties a heavy sweater and a vest, and forget it if it's colder: leave it in the closet. It fits great and looks good, but it isn't a very warm jacket.
