Rated 3 out of 5áby Mehgann Scratchy!!!
I like the skirt, and I disagree with some of the reviews that it doesn't look good on curvy figures. I am very curvy, and once I sized up it looked perfect on me. However, the wool is so scratchy! I'm not one to be bothered by that, either, but holy cannoli! The lining doesn't help that much with it. I'm keeping because I like the skirt that much, but those with sensitive skin, beware! This is NOT the skirt for you. Also, the regular length is perfect, if not a tad bit long on me. For reference, I'm 5'9" tall with long legs and a round tush, and I usually wear an 8, but I got this in a 10 in this. I ordered the same skirt (different colors) for my mom in an 18?fit her perfectly as well but I don't know her measurements. :)

Rated 1 out of 5áby JennyO90 Really scratchy and frumpy
This skirt looked terrible on me. I am a size 14 and i went up a size when ordering the skirt so it wouldn't be to tight on my waist. The skirt had no shape to it and looked so frumpy on me. I can see this skirt looking better on someone who is tall and thin maybe and likes to dress modest. The material was REALLY scratchy on the outside. I am returning this.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Calwashere Perfect, quality wool skirt
Substantial fabric makes makes me feel like I'm investing in a wardrobe that will last. Sizing is off for me because my hip and waist measurement is the same. I had to bring in the sides by two inches and I also hemmed it an inch. After alterations, it was perfect. I can't blame ll bean for my lack of hips.
I see the variety of comments about the wool.... I think it's substantial and the weight is perfect for Maine winters. Good pair of tights and it'll be a classy winter outfit. Add the ll bean cashmere crew neck and it's a true indulgence in luxury.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Ashevillian Nice knee-length wool blend skirt
I purchased the Sable & Indigo in a petite 6 (5'2" 130 lbs).
The Indigo was a full inch shorter and 3/4" smaller in the hips/waist than the Sable in the same size! Also, the Indigo skirt had what looked like burlap threads stuck in the fabric. I've pulled most of them out but the fabric is still very coarse and scratchy.
Both skirts are very nice, well made, itchiness is mitigated by lining...but due to the sizing differences I had to go 4 instead of 5 stars.
I like that even though these are dry clean only, you can press out the wrinkles with a warm iron at home.

Rated 3 out of 5áby mere819 not for me
I wanted to LOVE this skirt because it's wool, very nice looking and warm for winter, but even in a petite, the length is just too long for me. I had hoped to wear with my tall boots, but there isn't enough room between the top of my boot and the bottom of the skirt to make it look good.

Rated 5 out of 5áby albanycatlover cute skirt
This is a very cute and stylish skirt. I have bought several of them-the black currant color is particularly nice. It fits true to size and looks great with boots or tights and flats. It is pricey but seems worth the cost to me- will probably last for years and style is timeless.

Rated 5 out of 5áby WNYLongtimeBeanFan Great skirt - but need smaller sizes!
Love these wool skirts with tights & boots for work and casual. I bought 3 of them in size 4 Petite during Fall 2012 and would like more. But I agree with the other reviews -- need smaller sizes -- need to make a size 2 Petite! I kept them, but had to have them taken in at waist!
I would love to see more colors -- some solid colors like charcoal grey, black and chocolate brown! Would love to have enough to wear everyday!

I trusted LLBean's size chart for this skirt and ordered a 4p (I usually wear a 25-26 for pants), and realized that the waist band was way too loose. I so wanted to be able to keep this skirt but back they go...Please make small sizes LLBean!!

Rated 1 out of 5áby finefabriclover The itchy and scratchy skirt...
I appreciate fine fabrics, and this skirt doesn't cut it. The wool is scratchy and cheap feeling. Though it is lined, so the wool won't rub against the skin, you're bound to touch the skirt itself. Just not up to what I'd expect for LLB, and it's definitely going back.

Rated 4 out of 5áby UpperEastsideMom Flattering and great fit but has a few drawbacks
The skirt is very flattering, even though I would not describe my figure as "straight" (my hips are certainly 10 inches greater than my waist). However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The fabric is itchy at the bottom, below the lining. The skirt also tends to ride up. I agree with a few of the other posters that it also could be a tad longer, so that it covers the knee, rather than hitting just above the knee. I also think it would be better for me as an aline fit instead of a straight fit. However, as the overall look is very flattering, it is a keeper me. I am 5' 6.5" and weight 145 lbs. and I bought a 10 regular, after trying and returning the 8 regular, which was too tight on the hips.
