It was nice to receive an underlayer without an overstretched waistband! I was looking for a warm first layer for snoweshoeing, x-country skiing or even downhill skiing on pleasant days without paying top dollar for Merino wool products. This was perfect. It is a bit on the thin side, so I wouldn't count on it for tremendous worth, but is good for temps in the 20-40 degree range.

After reading such positive reviews on this item, I went ahead and purchased the item. No, it's not true that it's NOT itchy; because the material made my legs itch. I even lotioned my legs down and sorry, I'm a hypersensitive person and it made my legs itch. I love LL Bean products, too, but sad that this particular item didnt fit the requirements. I'm sure that it will fit better for others. (It is made with good materials, too....) that I'm certain!

I work outside for hours and these are great. Very warm and comfortable. I even wear them to bed to make waking up in the cold mornings not so dreadful! The only thing I would change is I'd like to see stirrups added in the future. That's the only thing. They tend to ride up on the calves. Other than that they are great!

I am 5'9" and I ordered these pants in a medium. They fit perfectly. Not too tight or loose and the length is good. They could be a bit longer, but I am keeping them and will wear them.

I think thes pants are great. I work in a cold area and have been trying to get something to keep my legs warm and these do the trick. I have tried other products that say they are warm and they did not do it for me. I wear these all the time and they are not scratchy Will be ordering the shirt too.

I am pleased with the cresta wool base layer. They wash up nice. I ordered a large, I am 5'6" and weigh 170 and the fit is good. They are a tad scratchy but you will get that with wool and it is not bad.

Oh, so soft. Also fits me perfect. Will order another underpants something in the future. Just love it.

Im very disappointed on this pant...it was huge for size S....like size M or L...some more is itchy....I really don't know how it get 5 star....Have no choice to return it...

Frankly I am disappointed. The pants ran VERY large. I am usually a M and even the XS is too big, and now a bit short. I am 5"8" 135 lbs. Also they dont have enough
elastic and so they are a bit bagged out after wearing. In addition I find them itchy.
The good news is that returns are easy and LL Bean took them back and did not charge me the return shipping, and I received the smaller sized pant in a timely fashion.
I would not buy these again.

I work outside alot and these pants feel luxurious against the skin and keep me warm against the biting cold. I am 5'2, 130 lbs., and ordered the medium - fit perfectly. I love wearing these so much that this is my 2nd pair within the past year!
