Rated 5 out of 5 by MontanaSusie Best Base Layer Yet!
I love this top. I work outdoors often as a large animal veterinarian in Montana, so warm, functional clothes are a must. This top is warm for low activity, and great for those times that you work up a sweat and then have a break before going again. I love the softness of the inside. This is a super comfortable, very functional cold weather top.

I have two of these shirts, one in the purple color and one in black and I wore them a lot throughout the winter. They are warm and comfortable and are among my favorite shirts.
Just wanted to mention though that there was a design change. One of my shirts is the old design and one is the new design. The new design is slightly longer, looser fitting, with longer sleeves and the fabric has a more slippery high tech feel to it rather than being kind of cottony and soft feeling like the previous design. The old design is form fitting and the new design is a little looser, but not baggy. I like them both, but I prefer the fit and fabric of the older design.

I haven't tried it on the slopes yet, but this fits wonderfully (5'5" and 125 lbs = extra small) and the material lets a second layer slide on easily. Plus, the neck zipper makes for a perfect transition to après ski!

My wife was always cold so I bought her this to use as a base layer. She loves it and wears it all the time.

I love this pair of long underwear. I buy several of them every winter and wear one every day. Unfortunately they changed the design of the thumb holes this year and made them smaller. This is very uncomfortable and I wish they would go back to the model they sold in the 2011-2012 winter. The fabric seems to not be as thick as the year prior as well. You had the perfect product...why change it?

I purchased this base layer top in the Plum. After less than 2 months, the zipper broke. I tried to exchange but the plum was sold out so I got the black. Nice but the plum had more pizzazz. I'm not feeling very confident about the longevity of this product! (I'm not the only reviewer whose zipper broke.)

You won't get better with this price. Keeps me warm and dry running outdoors. Very light weight and allows full range of motion. Correct length. Now I find I am always between size with LLBean these days... I ordered a small and would like it a touch more fitted without being shorter.... so I would have loved if they can have a xs long type deal. Still a 5 star product though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BahstonPaws Warm but be prepared to stink!
My job with the Police requires a lot of outside work for hours. Saw some good reviews for this shirt so decided to give it a whirl. When first put on it's amazing. Super soft and pretty warm... however it gets really stinky and I'm talking within a few hours. I'm not usually a stinky person but this shirt makes me run out of the station avoiding contact with everyone. Be prepared to wash VERY often.

I realized that I forgot to say a mention a few things in my previous review: I love that these long underwear don't get stinky even when I've had them on for a long time with no deodorant. They don't even get stinky when I go running in them, get all sweaty, and then keep them on for the rest of the day (I know, I'm gross). This is very different from my experience with Under Armour ColdGear, which reek almost as soon as I put them on. Also, the sporty fit is very cute and works well as an outer layer too. As for the fit, I can't say that I agree with AnnsBeantoColorado, who says that at 5'2", 110 lbs the medium fit her perfectly. What?! At 5'3", 120 lbs (I'm slender with a muscular build and not at all busty) the XS fits me perfectly (both the pants and the top). They are form fitting but not at all skin-tight (unlike the Under Armour, which I find uncomfortable). I originally ordered a size small, but sent them back because they were too baggy. As I mentioned in my previous review, I think these long underwear are fabulous and highly recommend them.

I have never written an online review before, but I feel so strongly about these long underwear that I felt I had to speak up. As silly as it sounds, my new long underwear have significantly improved the quality of my life. I always have trouble staying warm, even at temperatures where most people are perfectly comfortable or too hot. Being cold makes me tense and cranky, which is not how I want to be, nor is it my natural state. (I am a very relaxed and cheery person when warm.) Since I live in upstate NY, the cold season is seemingly endless, and right now (late November) I am living in a house with no heat. Under normal circumstances, this would be absolutely unbearable for me, but sitting here in my long underwear (and fleece-lined LLBean sweatshirt and jeans), I'm perfectly fine. I've been wearing them 24/7, and I love how snuggly and soft they are. I already own 2 pairs and am seriously considering buying a 3rd (to facilitate the washing/wearing rotation). I intend to keep them on all winter long, for many years to come. My husband also owns 2 pairs, which he has been wearing to work every day under his clothes (he works indoors, but he's a cold person too).
