Rated 5 out of 5 by Traveler Great Product
I recently purchased this item for winter walking. I am very happy with my choice. The quality is there. Fit is good and the fabric really wicks moisture away from your skin. Easy wash and dry too.

We live in Florida; traveling to Alaska. Of course we have no long underwear. My husband was ADAMANT that I not "waste money" buying long underwear -- he was going to wear my father's duo-folds! I knew he'd be cold & wet so I went ahead & ordered polartec tops & bottoms. Despite his misgivings, he was thrilled! The weight is nice; the fit (he's tall) is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jbman Could be a bit longer
I am 6 ft 9 and slim. I ordered the large tall and although the shirt is just what I wanted I wish it was about 2 inches longer in the arms and about 3 inches longer overall. Needless to say I always have issues finding clothes that fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Burtonaldo Nice undershirt
I bought XL tall and it fits me perfectly (6' 1" 185 lbs). Anything smaller would have been bit tight in the arm pit area. This shirt is very warm and I wore only a lined jacket over it skiing on some pretty cold days. I gave it a four start rather than five because I found the mid-weight shirts almost as warm. They are definitely different (expedition weight is more fuzzy on the inside) but I found both to be similar in warmth.

Great shirt, comfortable, warm, light weight, and dries fast. I just purchased the blue, after already having the black, and cayenne. Thanks again for a great product LL Bean.

Great feeling fabric! I wear it as a base layer for cycling in cold weather. It keeps me warm and feeling dry thanks to it's moisture wicking features.

I work outside up in the trees year round in Chicago land area, when the temps start to dip I rely on this thermal and a windbreaker of sorts to stay comfy while the wind is annoying my co-workers. Only wish I had more so I didn't have to wash it so often. I have many L.L. Bean thermals given as gifts due to my line of work, but this one takes the cake. I sweat plenty but I don't sweat about it making me cold when this is on. I know whats on my Christmas list for the next few years

Got the XXL for my 6 foot husband who weighs 300 pounds and this was size was big enough! Whoo hoo! Very warm and the best thermals he has to walk the dogs in 30 degree weather! They are thick but not too thick that you can't move ... great buy! Wish they had them for women!

Love this shirt. I read people say they don.t sweat in this shirt, but I do. I sweat and I feel the sweat against my skin, but it.s gone soon after. I like this shirt more than my merino wool qtr. zip top, if for nothing else than the ease of washing and drying. I work on fishing boats in the Bering Sea and I.m eager to see how this shirt performs.
