Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanFanGuy Essential wardrobe item for this guy
I love this lined zip-up sweat shirt.
Now I have two, one grey and one blue.
Can't find many such items sans the hoodie.
I wear to the Fitness Center and to meetings. Always keeps me cozy.
Especially suited for Chicago-like temperatures.
Unquestionably, this is a high-quality item.

Sweatshirt was to be a Christmas gift. My husband received it last week. He is easy going so he was ok coming in the spring. He has worn it several times to the farm to check on the cows. The mornings have been cool and the sweatshirt is just right. He likes the fit and the weight.

I had one of these in the hooded version and loved it EXCEPT the cuffs began to fall apart after less than a year. I fabric cemented them for another year until it started looking ghetto and I returned it for this version as the hooded was no longer available in my size...XLT. I loved the sweatshirt and really liked the poly in the sleeves which made it easier to put on. It was plenty warm unless the wind was howling and then a windbreaker would make it warm again.
I just received my new sweatshirt minus the hood and it fits, looks, and feels the same. It is made in Vietnam versus the hooded version which was made in Pakistan so I am hoping the cuffs hold up better. My only complaint is the location of the pockets in this sweatshirt. Most pockets and the pockets in the hooded version were slightly toward the front of the garment and it was natural to put your hands in them. These are all the way back by the seam on the middle and takes some getting used to as you have to reach back to put your hands in If not for the pocket location, this would be a five star product.

This is a great sweatshirt.
I purchased 2 and use them in the house on a chilly day ,eliminating turning the heat up to high.
I have shoveled snow in the sweatshirt w/ a warm sweater under the sweatshirt.
I ordered the XL to allow for wearing of warm clothing undeneath and the fit is perfect.
Following the washing instructions, I am satisfied to see no shrinkage or color change and the fleese lining is soft and did not mat. I also love the polyester lining in the sleeves allowing for ease in putting on the sweatshirt.
I think this is the best buy I have ever purchased from LLBean or other active/outdoor shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EmEwe 3rd time was the charm!
Bought my husband a large, but it was huge on him.
Ordered a medium which fit perfectly but the zipper stitching was defective, so it had to be returned.
LL Bean promptly sent a replacement medium, and it is great. Husband is very happy, and I am very pleased with LL Bean's service.

I have always warn a extra large sweat shirt and this one was way too large for me. The quality of the garment seamed very good, but I will have to learn L.L. Bean sizing to continue buying. Also the color of the garment didn't match the picture in the catalog. Needless to say I had to return the sweat shirt.

We wear our sweatshirts almost every day even in the coolest of weather. Great to layer with a red river shirt.

This heavyweight sweatshirt from Katahdin Iron Works is my all-around favorite. It's comfortable and warm, thanks to the shirling liner. The sweatshirt is crisp, simple and confident.
It's great for everyday outings, walks and even as a nice warm sweater over a dress shirt on chilly mornings or foggy evenings.
I love the Katahdin Iron Works products and hope L.L Bean keeps this line alive and fresh.
The only downside is that the sweatshirt wears a bit large, and I made the mistake of ordering a long -- I'm six fee tall - when I should have ordered a regular. But it's not a big deal. The sweatshirt looks so great, feels warm and comfortable and is a staple in my wardrobe.
