The great thing about these shirts is that you can carry your glasses in them and when you bend over, they won't fall out!
LLBean used to sell Oxford dress shirts with flap pockets. I wore them to work all the time. I loved them AND STILL HAVE SEVERAL. But some 20 years ago, you stopped making them.
I am convinced that with a new generation of men with less formal demands, they will sell very well again. Please give this real thought. You can scoop Land's End!!!

The good part about this shirt is it is trim fit. The bad part is that the sleaves are not long enough for a tall shirt, and the shirt is way to long to wear untucked like the picture shows. The weight of the shirt is very light, and is a summer time only shirt for sure. It is very wrinkly and will need to be iron before wearing everytime. I would not buy another, and be sure to buy it on sale. I would not pay retail prices for this shirt.

The material on the white sportsman's shirt is borderline transparent! I could see every tattoo I have very clearly. The fit was great for me, but I don't want to wear a see-through shirt. Very disappointed. In the many years I have been buying from LL Bean, I've never returned anything for quality except this.

I am accustomed to getting excellent products from LLBean. This shirt, however, is not good. The material is cheap. It is a very skimpy fit. It is made like a cheap shirt from a discount retailer. My wife washed the shirt before I wore it since we never had a problem with LLbean products. If it had not been washed, I would return it. It is terrible. This will make me very cautious about buying from LLBean in the future.

My husband really likes this shirt. He borders between a medium and a small, and we bought the small. The medium may have been a better fit, but he prefers clothes more fitted, so we kept the small anyways. Very nice quality fabric and stitching. Worn often and holds up to regular washing and drying.

The Raven Blue LL Bean Signature Sportsman's Shirt arrived as ordered. It's well-made and looks very nice. Sadly, the "Signature Line" medium was a bit too tapered for me so I'm returning it. Luckily, LL Bean has an uncomplicated, customer-friendly return policy (though you do have to pay postage from APO addresses overseas).

I bought the Fiery Red version for casual days at the office and for weekends around town. I've worn it twice already and I get many compliments on it. The material is very nice; much like a fine dress shirt and the shirt is tailored. It's not baggy at all. The color is the best part. I don't know why they call it red; it's much more orange. It's the color of Autumn; of changing leaves and candy corn. It's my favorite shirt right now.

I received this shirt and absolutely love it. I receive compliments each time I wear it. If you are contemplating buying it, be aware that this is sized much smaller than most LL Bean clothing. The fit is much more tailored/tapered than the majority of their clothing. If you get the right size, you'll love the shirt.

This shirt fits me perfectly. I'm a tall guy, 6'4", and slim, I weigh ~185, and the Small Tall is the best fitting shirt I've ever bought. Usually I have to buy tall shirts and get them altered, but this one is perfect all around, just wish there were more colors.

To make a long story short, I purchased 1 shirt in Red, then purchased the other in Blue. I have a total of 4 of these shirts! The sleeves wrinkle after a couple days of wear, but after washing them they are back to new! Love LL Bean Sig Series
