I like the cut and fabric....but there was a ripped seam below the front pocket I noticed the first time I put them on. Rather than go thru the hassle of a return, I just took them to a local seamstress to repair. I'm sure this is an isolated incident but since this is from the "Signature" line, I thought it bore mentioning.

These pants look great and are cut perfectly. In soapstone color and combined with the the LL Bean plain weave blazer, they make an awesome combination. I was walking down the street one day and another guy yelled out to me, "hey, cool suit!" To wear these pants to work, I have them cleaned professionally, so they look pressed. I bought two backup pairs in case they're no longer made. The material's a nice summer weight and feels cool. They're cut well in the seat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by javknot Great fabric, terrible fit
The fabric is awesome, light and breathable and the dark blue color is beautiful but the cut is way too baggy and the rise is too high.

Hated these pants - the legs are so wide - I'm 6' tall, 180# and looked like a short and stocky guy. Returned pronto.

I'm upset that no one does a white denim this year but I settled for these and I am satisfied. They do wrinkle so ironing is required. I know LL Bean does a lot of wrinkle resistant items and sadly this is not one of them. They are great pants and the sizes were perfect.

What can I say? They're pants. They fit (30x34 @ 6'00", 140lbs). They feel good. They are an average cut if anything (not baggy, not slim). They definitely make no attempt to approach some of the "urban slim" fits on some other websites. (OK by me) Just good quality, classic pants. Asymmetric back pockets is a nice touch. One note, these are definitely spring-summer weight, so don't expect them to keep you warm in a Maine winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Illuminatus Stylish & a good value
An excellent addition to the Signature line. The cut is a bit more narrow than regular LLBean chinos but they are quite comfortable and not at all constricting. The look is more contemporary but not hopelessly trendy or quickly dated. With the matching jacket it makes a great casual suit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hands A little too baggy
The construction is solid bean quality, unfortunately the cut is traditional bean. I expected slimmer legs and a slightly lower rise, but these are actually wider in the leg than the town and country pants from the main line.
