Rated 4 out of 5áby PeteCT Awesome material and quality
The quality of this shirt is fantastic. For that I am giving it 4 stars . I would have given 5 but could not find a waist measurement on the LL Bean site for "slim" fit. I ordered a XXL and with a 50 " chest and 38" waist was hoping the shirt was not huge in the waist. Its still pretty large around the middle and will need tailoring but fits nicely in the chest and arms. As I said great quality overall.

This is a wonderful shirt for my husband because the fit is just right for him--shoulders are narrower and arms (in the tall) are long enough. He has this shirt in the grey and a red paid. The fabric is surprisingly heavy. What he likes are the two pockets, and I like the buttons! This is LL Bean at its classic best. When the Signature Line holds true to its mission, it's a game-changer.

Rated 3 out of 5áby tuvwxyz Nice fabric, odd fit
Nice warm and soft fabric, but not a slim fit. Compared to my vintage LLB chamois, this has narrower shoulders and looser chest and waist. I'll stick to the "slightly fitted" mainline LLB shirts from now on.

I really like this shirt. Really soft and thick. It's sort of a slim fit. I'm 5'9 and swimmers build (thinner side) and ordered a small. At first it was a TOUCH tight, but I've moved around in it and now it fits great, i REALLY like fitted clothes though. The medium I thought was big and ended up giving it away. If you're looking for fitted, size down, if you're looking for sheer comfort size up.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Nightfinder Perfect Shirt
The 1933 Chamois shirt is perfect fro my husband in the Tall/large size. He needs the length in the arms and with the slim fit, the shoulders and chest are don't hang loose. The red plaid is very nice and if there were one left, I'd order it again. He likes the double pockets. I only hope that LL Bean doesn't decide to "improve" this shirt in some way, and that it will be offered again next year.

Rated 3 out of 5áby BrianRE Not quite a slim fit
The shirt looks and feels great, but the sizing is a little too generous. I'm 5"11 195lbs and the Large slimfit "folds" over the front by about 6-8 inches down around the waist. My chest is a 42, so medium is going to constrict my shoulders/chest. . . I'm not "ripped" or anything and I usually fit well into a medium or large depending on the brand, and "slim fit" to me means that the waist shouldn't be so baggy that I have to fold it to stop it from parachuting out of my pants if its tucked in.
I understand the 'generous' sizing of the regular clothes, but since there is both a 'slightly fitted' and a 'slim fit' category I most certainly expected the latter to fit its own namesake (and my body) a little better.
I actually find that this 'slim fit' shirt is baggier then most 'regular' fits that I generally wear. I still won't give it a terrible review because the shirt itself feels great, I just wanted to point other "lean" folks in the right direction.

Rated 3 out of 5áby BlackSquirrel Sleeves too long
The fabric is very attractive and comfortable but the sleeves are unusually long and the cuff openings very large with only one button on each cuff (i.e. no adjustment).

I had a women's ivory chamois shirt that I wore for ten years. I wore it all the time -- skiing on Friday, over jammies on Saturday, as a jacket to church Sunday. Well, last year it got a hole in it. I ordered a few more and they weren't the same. Not as thick, not as soft, not the same fit. I thought I'd just be patient and wait for the winter catalog. No women's chamois shirts this year! A sales lady recommended that I try the signature men's slim fit. I'm forever grateful. The sleeves are a little long but I like a cuff anyhow. They are the same thickness, softness, and fit of my old favorite shirt. I bought two. Now if it just came in ivory...

Rated 5 out of 5áby Sheboygan This Is a Slim Fit
I could not resist the 1933 classic red plaid and it's just as bright and vibrant as the photos on the web page. This is a very high quality chamois fabric and is certain to get softer over time. The buttons are big and really nice.
I'm what I consider normal size at 5'8" and 144 lbs and with a 41" chest and 31" waist. The size medium just fits my shoulders with the sleeve seam landing right at the edge of my shoulders. Sleeve length is just right at about 34". The body of the shirt fits fine and is definitely a slim fit-- especially compared to the normal full fit of the LL Bean Chamois shirts. If the shoulder was any tighter I could not wear this and as it is will need to use a very light undershirt to keep it comfortable.
This also looks to be a cold wash and hang to dry because I'm concerned that any shrinking from the dryer will make it too uncomfortable.
