Rated 5 out of 5 by ActiveOutdoors1 Kakhi, plaid
I believe I have the majority of the colors. Texas heat won't allow for these now, but in the winter, I use them mainly as a shirt jac. I am 5'9" tall. 185lbs. The Signature Medium has always fit well. I just received the kakhi plaid color today. It's a great fit, as expected. I have never had an issue with losing buttons and such. They wash well!

Material holds up well, but overall this will humble most guys because the buttons will all come off in less than two years so you better know how to sew and remember to check for buttons in the dryer. I have had over seven buttons come off three of these shirts. Sometimes I find them in the dryer, sometimes I cut off the spare that may or may not be on the inside bottom section. For the price they charge for this shirt, better quality control on the materials would be a plus.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Peaver Poor quality chamois shirts
I have many LL Bean chamois shirts that were made in America. They are noticeably heavier in weight, material much thicker, and better made than what is currently being made in Portugal, and being sold by LL Bean. So, I won't be buying another until the quality that I'm use to, returns. I can buy a chamois shirt anywhere that is comparable in quality. I can't find another with the same quality as the older shirts that were made in the USA.

I received the regular fit chamois shirt as a gift, and while the fabric seemed to be of similar quality, the fit was just not what I was looking for. I'm 6"6 210 with a somewhat athletic build, and the regular fit from L.L.Bean just does nothing for me. A Large Tall is a tent and a Medium's sleeves are too short while still not really fitting well. I returned the regular fit and waited for this one to come back in stock. It was worth the wait.
I see other users complaining that it is not slim enough, but I think the problem is a bit overstated. While not quite as slim through the body as some other slim shirts I own, I would say that the fit is more than adequate. I find the shirt to be nicely fitted through the sleeves, but with enough room to not feel constricted.
If you're looking for a super slim fit shirt, I don't think L.L.Bean is the the place to get it. It is substantially slimmer than the regular fit though, so if you want a nicely fitted shirt is made of thick, warm fabric for the winter, this is a nice choice.

I bought this shirt two years ago in the grey. I love it. I wear it more as a shirt jacket, even though it's about the thickness of a flannel. When I purchased the shirt I was 6' 220lbs and I bought the large. It was definitely fitted with just a t-shirt underneath. I'm now down 20lbs and it fits great as a "shirt jacket" over another woven, turtleneck, merino sweater, etc.
I wish I bought another color this season...now all sold out. Buy the grey if you can...great shade.

This shirt feels like it's great quality but I'm so disappointed that I can't recommend it. It's supposed to be slim fit and I did originally get a large that fit like a glove, but too close for comfort when considering shrinkage in the wash. I returned it and got an XL, counting down the days until it arrived. The thing is a tent. it actually balloons out from the chest down. calling this a slim fit shirt is a total lie, or some sort of delusion. I would go as far to say that if you were wearing this in any kind of active, job, it's bulky to the point of being dangerous. I could easily fit all three of my 15 month old kids inside the shirt while I'm wearing it buttoned up.

Got for Christmas. Love it. Love the slim cut, the softness and weight of fabric. I'm not always a fan of Bean menswear because of it's Dad-ish look (even though I'm a dad myself) and generous cut but this shirt's a winner. I'm an athletic 5'8"/150 lbs. and the M is even a bit roomy on me but comfortable. Buy this shirt.

What a beautiful shirt, making it even more of a let down! I am 5'10" 170lbs and a very average, easy to fit medium. I truly couldn't wait to get this shirt. When it arrived I tried it on to find that when raising my hands above my head I reached a point of restricted mobility. No shirt is gonna hold me back!
I have an active job and all my shirts have to move well and be very comfortable. I find that when I do buy these "fitted" shirts with restrictive tailoring they just don't get worn. As I stated above I am a very standard build, and unfortunately I don't have big upper arms or shoulders. I have encountered this issue with other manufacturers and it drives me crazy, because I know there are other labels that make nicely tailored "fitted" shirts that offer complete range of motion at the same price point, so it is simply a failure in product testing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LTopper Grey Signature 1933 chamois cloth shirt
The color is grey heather as depicted. The shirt fits properly and is comfortable, but it does not have the normal quality of "chamois". It does not have the "hand" of brushed cotton like other chamois/flannel shirts.
I decided to keep it. I still like the shirt, but it does not have that very soft, kind of fuzzy, hand that you expect.
This was sent as a back order. Perhaps the supplier is different from the other 1933 chamois cloth shirts I have purchased in the past.
