We just bought this for our 4 year old. He absolutely loves it. He cannot ride a bike without training wheels but he can use this with no problems. He asks us everyday if he can go for a bike ride. Will definitely get our use out of it between our two kids.

We bought this two years ago for our oldest daughter and like it so much we just bought a second bike for our younger daughter. They are 4 and 5 and the trail-a-bikes give us the ability to take long rides as a family. We've been very happy with the bikes' ease of use and utily.

We love our family bike rides, but my son is too big for a buggy and not quite stong enough to keep up with the rest of the bikes. This is the perfect solution. It took us a little bit to set up (but that got easier on later set ups). It was great - we did a 14 mile trip with the kids and it was easy. My son had said it was the best bike ride he had ever been on. My husband (who was carrying the trail-a-bike) said it wasn't difficult to add him. Can't wait for more trips!!

I have 5 boys and some of them are really good bike riders and others are just learning. This trail a bike is wonderful for my 5 year old who is not quite ready to tackle the bigger road bike rides we take but is ready to "ride" his own bike. I can really feel his peddling efforts while we ride!! We have great family times together because of this product. Thank you LLBEAN.

It's great to be able to get out and ride as a family. Our 4 year old loves it. She has us out nearly every night cruising the neighborhood and surrounding trails. The bike was easy to attach. It's comfortable, well-built and a good value.

Bought one for my 6 yr old son, he's not yet riding by himself. He is 40 lbs. and I am 110. I have a little trouble with keeping the bike straight when he leans, it's easier for my husband that weighs more. Very nice trail-a-bike, easy to attach, high quality.

I purchased this trail-a-bike for my 4 year old grandson so he could join us on our frequent bike rides around the biking trails in our town.
My husband had some difficulty getting this trail-a- bike connected to his bike for our grandson to ride. It seems to have too much loose play in the attachment and leans a bit too much when we are out riding. I'm not sure if other brands of trail-a-bikes would be the same, though.
I did not do any research and bought this one on the spur of the moment. I would recommend doing some research before purchasing a trail-a-bike.

I received this Trail-a -bike for a Mother's Day/ Birthday gift and we love it! My four year old daughter thinks it is great to "peddle along" with me and even peddles by herself. She has to balance some as well which has really increased her bicycling confidence. I can ride around the neighborhood with my older two boys and they don't have to stop and wait for me as when I am walking. We plan on taking it on some of the paved trails here in Northwest FL. It was very easy to install and with the plastic shems it was simple to get tight enough.

While on the expensive-side, the combination of winning a gift certificate and being present at the local LL Bean store where my son could "try on" the bike, led us to purchase this Trail-a-bike (found out later online that LLBean's prices were cheaper than many other sites selling the same product).
It's perfect and let's us ride together as a family. My son also has a training wheel bike but we're on this more often.
