Rated 5 out of 5 by Mouse1999 The only real no iron man's shirt I have found!
A great shirt for working in an office setting or going out to a restaurant.
LL Bean's pinpoint oxford is the only non Iron shirt I have purchased that really does not need to be ironed if you hang it up straight out of the dryer. I have purchased no iron shirts from other places that are priced the same or more than this one and they need to be ironed. I am donating the shirts that need to be ironed as they hardly are ever available for wearing!

by NewArmyMom It looks great .... but .....
This shirt looks fantastic right out of the package. Nice color, nice fabric. I love the fact that I can just take it out of the dryer and put it on a hanger and it is ready to wear. However, after less than four months of wearing only one time per week, the collar crease is fraying and showing white. Eventually it will show on the sleeve cuffs. For the price of the shirt, I expected better quality. I am returning this shirt and will not buy another like it .... This shirt was actually a second chance shirt replacing one that had the same problem. The second chance shirt deteriorated much more quickly than the first. I may consider buying another shirt for my husband if the quality improves.... but as of right now, I am completely disappointed.

I got 2 tatersall shitrs in 4/14 and they both run very small compared to other LL Bean shirts I have (that is all I wear). All other 17x35 shirts fit me well, but these are way too small.

Material is too thin and shinny. I expected more of quality from LL Bean clothes

Rated 2 out of 5 by Vee5 Good looking shirt, but
I bought this shirt for my husband twice in the past two years, because the collar and sleeves near the wrist area are already frayed. You can see the white peeking through the blue material which is not good given the price of this shirt. I feel for the price of this shirt, it should last way longer than a year, and for this reason I give it only 2 stars.

this shirt is a goodvalue because it is guaranteed forever. if you own a pinpoint oxford donot wash it with anything else but other buttondown dress shirts!!! I read reviews did you not take maleeconomics in highschool!!! this is real important!!! they wear okay but please respect the pinoint oxfords!! there delicate shirts that you will love for about 2 years at the most on other brands. take it or leave it the warranty no matter what you do to it is forever!! so goodluck to the other guys out there!!! hip hip to ll bean!!!dyes though are having a little problem some around a lot of retailers, I have found that a pick is-white , French blue and gray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ponyboy the most perfect pinpoint oxford i have ever owned
this shirt is a must for your dress wardrobe!!!! perfect size, this shirt gives you extra room where it is needed!!! I never had a shirt like this in quality ! I bought lots of pinpoints in the eighties and nineties that do not match this shirt. I never would guess ll bean made this shirt at all!!! this shirt costs right now $10.00 dollars less than the executive pinpoints I bought before. this shirt is it!! buy them while there hot!!! the color on the shirt is excellently bright white, donot go buy the picture in the catalog. I put off buying this for a few years because it was ll bean, this shirt has the competition gone!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LTCustomer00 Wrinkle-resistant pinpoint oxford shirts
I have purchased variants of these point oxford shirts for many years. They have classic styling and are functional. This type of shirt is needed in many wardrobes. LL Bean created a nice niche for itself with this product; the shirts were priced lower than upscale competitors, but higher than discount retail outfitters. The wrinkle resistant aspect of the shirts is a real time-saver and convenience.
However, I echo the comments of other readers who have noted that the collars and sleeves start to fray WAY too early on these shirts. I assume that quality can vary year to year depending on the supplier of fabric. However, these shirts, like LL Bean chinos, are products that your consumers use on a frequent basis. They are not blazers that come out once a year; they are workhorses of the wardrobe.
This is why the recent problem with fabric durability in these shirts is a problem greater than LL Bean might imagine. Every time a customer reaches for a shirt to wear and then sees a frayed collar or notices the shirt slowly dying, it creates buyer's remorse and undermines the entire premise of the LL Bean experience.
We all know that the shirts will eventually need to be retired, but are surprised and disheartened when the clock starts ticking after a few months of wear. The remedy is not to offer a refund or apology for those who flag the issue; LL Bean needs to improve the quality of these shirts and protect its brand.
In short, LL Bean need to redouble its efforts on this particular product. It is wonderful in concept and utility; it just needs to last much longer in practice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Barinr No lasting power
When I first purchased one of these shirts I loved it. Good feel, light weight and comfortable, but it hasn't worn well. It's maybe six months old and holes are appearing around the cuffs and the cuffs are fraying. It is in with a regular rotation with shirts from other retailers, but it is the only one showing wear. It's not a case of too much wear, it's a case of not well made. It just doesn't last!
