Rated 5 out of 5 by NickiClary Wonderful sheets that don't pill
I purchased these sheets almost two years ago and decided not to write a review until they had been washed many times -- I've often loved sheets and then have had them pill after multiple washings. These sheets simply get softer over time, but they remain smooth and crisp. I love these sheets -- they are well worth the price.

Bought these based on several positive reviews on non-Bean websites. But WOW. Worst. Sheets. Ever. They're so rough they feel like sandpaper. So terrible I got out of bed the second night and slept on the couch to get some rest. Then ripped them right off the bed in the morning and returned them. I didn't believe 280 thread count could be anything but rough, but the reviews said they were fantastic and I risked it. Go with your gut and avoid the sandpaper!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MaryJane57 At first delighted, but then....
I chose to buy these Pima Cotton Sheets after doing quite a bit of research online last December. I had never bought sheets from L.L. Bean before but, I like their clothes and the reviews looked promising. I actually bought the moss and not the windowpane that is showing now.
When I received the sheets, my husband and I were both pleased with them. They felt comfortable and they washed well. Now it is October, ten months later, and the fitted sheet has split and can no longer be used.
I am very disappointed. I feel that quality sheets should last longer than ten months. Sheets used to last until they faded out and then you knew to go buy new ones.
So I will do research and look for new sheets but, I will not buy these again.

These are quality sheets but they are slick as glass and the blankets roll off of them. Also they are very big unless you have a deep mattress.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ktillbean Good, but not exactly the quality I'd expect
I originally purchased a set of these sheets just over 2 years ago. I was thrilled with them - finally, that crisp, but comfortable sheet I had been looking for! I think some other reviewers have summed things up nicely - the sheet is plenty of big enough to tuck in, I purchased white so can't speak to the color but I was happy with it. Overall I've been happy with these sheets & would recommend them...BUT...I am slightly disappointed that they didn't last longer. I had to replace the fitted sheet in August this year (along with a 3-4 week wait for them to be available); and just last week noticed the top sheet had also torn along the seam at the top. So - replacing that and the pillowcases (predicting they will shred soon too). I've been really happy with the feel of the sheets, and admit they are well used/washed - but as a native Mainer, I do have higher expectations of LL Bean quality/how long a product will last. While enjoying this new set, I'll be looking for the next step up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PuritySyrup Good quality, nice feel
Having used these sheets (and matching pillow cases) for 3 months, I find them excellent for the price. They're not wrinkle-free, but they don't wrinkle much for something made of cotton.
The sheet is a little loose on my bed, even though it has a deep mattress, as these sheets measure even deeper. The feel is kind of a compromise between soft and crisp--quite soft but not ridiculously so. This suits me exactly. It bothers me now to put my old thin-from-the-day-I-bought-them sheets on the bed.
Since I bought white sheets, I can't speak to trueness of colour, and since I've washed them just 15 times, I can't speak to durability except to say that they're in great shape so far. Having said that, if these sheets stand up, I'll be buying more come spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ranchoedge Great sheets, cool and comfy color not as expected
These sheets are sturdy, yet soft. (Who expects sheets to last more than a year??) However, the color "silver sand" which I thought looked gray or "silver" is definitely more of a "sand" or tan color. Regardless, these are great sheets. Consumer Reports pick as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OnlineGran I like this sheet
I needed a queen fitted sheet. This one more than met my expectations. It's cool to sleep upon. It runs larger than most other queen fitted sheets I own, even with the memory foam topper on the mattress. Not really a problem. I have ordered pillowcases to match. I can't speak to other review that mentioned the sheet wore out rather quickly, the fitted sheet seems sturdy enough to me.
