This vest is comfortable, durable, and breathable. I had been looking long and hard for a nice vest and LLBean came through once again. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be warm, but has room to move for comfort. Very well constructed. I am thinking about getting a few more.

Whether I coordinate the vest with the Fitness Fleece of the same or another color, wear it with a turtle neck, or a pretty blouse, it always looks totally wonderful. I have now collected only four of them (I know folks who are determined to get one in every color) and have found the same great look and fit in every one. They are perfect for adding just that little bit of extra warmth without a whole lot of weight - and they look wonderful - a nice, attractive, trim silhouette.
I am so happy to see the gradient colors & coordinating turtleneck sweaters now in the catalogs & feel the urge to splurge coming on!

This vest is fantastic .... fit is true to size (I'm normally a 10-12 and wear Med in this vest). The weight/warmth is perfect for doing physical activity. It is so lightweight that I layer it under the fitness jacet on chillier days. It looks smart about town as well as a practical warm layer for working outside or around the barn. Please keep making this vest in even more colours ... I never did see the chocolate brown and would love that colour, maybe a loden too!

I love these vests. I have four colors plus two of the winter special ones. I wear them all of the time. They are comfortable, light weight and you can move around in them. I am 5'10" and love that they come down to the top of my hip. I have washed two of them and they wash very well. The versatility of colors is much appreciated as I can wear these with jean or dress pants.
I have bought one of these as a gift for one of my sisters and she wears it all the time!

This vest is so comfortable. I love the smooth material feel, the soft, fleece around the collar, the two-way zipper, the breathability, the side fleece panels for ease of movement, the attractive slim profile which adds a lightweight bit of extra warmth without the bulk, and the fit is fantastic, as well as flattering. I am 5'2", 140#, 36D chest and the regular medium is perfect, in all areas. Finally outwear to fit all of me! I like to have a bit of room in my outerwear so I can layer if needed and so I am able to move well and not be restricted. The armholes and chest are especially wonderfully cut. The vest falls right at my hips #look at LLBean's "size chart"#. This vest is great all by itself for warmer weather or inside, and is fantastic for layering. I adore that the pockets zip and are lined in super soft micro-fleece. The only flaw in the design is that there are no inside pockets; add zippered inside pockets and the design would be ideal. Excellent craftsmanship and the colors are great. Side note: the "Sugarplum" color is much richer and deeper in color than shown, more like a deep fushia, very pretty.

Have already worn this vest several times & love the color and the design. I bought it in plum tart and it works with the elderberry tops I have purchased and is absolutely great! Nice that is not a puffy quilting...more fitted so it looks more dressy while still comfortable. Need to get more of these!

I absolutely love this vest! I live in Southern California and our weather varies throughout the day. It's perfect when I am driving about town. It keeps me quite warm without getting in the way of running errands. It's perfect for the gym. I wear mine with sweatshirt under it. I bought a petite large. It fits nicely.
Also, I have the Thinsulate Fitness jacket, but I seem to prefer this vest, because the jacket has extra material around the sleeves.
I am definitely thinking about buying it in other colors for Spring and Summer seasons. Thanks L.L. Bean!

I bought one of these vests in brown (black coffee or chocolate?) a few years ago and have continued to use it as my go-to piece in fall, winter, and spring as either a next-to or outermost layer. I wanted one in plum wine, but my size was gone so I ordered plum. Plum turned out to be very much grape and is going back. It is a more distinctly purple than what shows on my screen. Great vest, but sadly just too purple for my taste.

I have this vest in Treeline green, size XS. It's comfortable and warm, not heavy or bulky. It works well for our mild Texas winters with just a long sleeve tee underneath.
I originally ordered a Small, but it was too loose and didn't look or feel quite right. (I am 5'3.5" and 127 lbs.) I ordered the XS to compare and it fits much better. My only complaint is that the vest is a little short -- I am long-waisted and would like it to be a tad longer
