I was surprised at the detailing, it's simply beautiful! If you love redwork needlepoint, the red dobby is for you! I did have to fix where the seamstress accidentally got a piece of material stuck in the seam while sewing, but since I'm an avid sewer, it was an easy fix. I love that it's very long which is how I think nightgowns should be. (I have the tartan plaid nightgown and feel it's a bit short, I'm 5'5")

Let me start by saying that this is one of the most comfy, roomiest, softest nightgowns I have ever worn. I received it about 4 years ago as a gift and it is still going strong despite how often I wear and wash it. I love it so much I am guilty of turning the AC to near freezing in the summer so I can wear it. I am not really sure about the review I read where the reviewer said that it is not flannel. It certainly is flannel. The description is not wrong.

I love this nightgown. It was a much appreciated gift a couple years ago. I live in the far North of Canada where our winter temps can reach -60F. I am 5'8" and usually have a problem finding nightwear that is long enough. Not so with this. It keeps all of me warm and cozy. I do not have a problem with the cuff, as another reviewer commented.

I was very disappointed in LL Bean. This nightgown is not flannel in any way shape or form. It is cotton but it is NOT cotton flannel but is advertised as such. I was looking for a flannel nightgown and am returning the two that I ordered because I want the flannel that the listing said this was. I have ordered flannel nightgowns from LL Bean before and not been disappointed. This one is very misleading advertising. If you are hoping to keep warm in a flannel nightgown, this one will not do the job.

Love this nightgown. Ordered a medium hoping it would be roomy and it WAS! Fabric is very soft and not too hot despite the fact that it is flannel. Great to lounge around in at night. Would most definitely purchase another.

I'm so disappointed with the Vintage Flannel Nightgown. I have been wearing your Vintage Flannel Nightgown for over 20 years and I was so delighted when it was offered in petite sizes. It USED TO BE made of cozy heavy-weight flannel. No more! The last two times I ordered it, I returned it because the fabric was thin, and more like a woven cotton than your original heavy-weight flannel. PLEASE bring back your original soft flannel Vintage Nightgown! Until then, I'll have to make do with my old thread-bare Vintage Nightgown from years ago.

I bought a second color since the first one, which was a gift, is so wonderful! The flannel is thick enough to be cozy and hall-walkable, the fabric is full enough not to constrict and the fine pleats are attractive. I grew up in those European flannel nightgowns and feel back at home in this! My husband loves it...old world romance, in his opinion!

Pleased with the feel, color and fit. The only concern is the small cuff on the sleeve. It is on the tight side and can restrict comfort and movement during sleep. I would like to see them remove the cuff.

If you are looking for a great full length, flannel nightgown don't hesitate to order this one. I order a new one every year as I want one to wear, one in the wash & one in the drawer. The flannel is perfect & the fit is generous, no need to size up. This gown is so
much nicer than the competion, plus can't be found in dept. stores.

Hoping against hope I have purchased this gown two times only to return it. The design, sizing, beautiful detail--all are just wonderful and very well done. But the fabric!! This is NOT flannel as I know it. It is a thin dobby woven with a texture which is NOT comfortable against the skin. Not cozy at all because of the fabric. If this were made of real flannel (preferably the 5 ounce German kind) I would buy any number of them and recommend them to friends. Even pay a bit more. I do not understand the praise this fabric receives--unless some gowns are flannel and some (the ones I receive) are not. Very puzzling.
