Rated 5 out of 5 by PinkStreaks Awesome duffel
We bought 4 of these to take on a 2-week trip to Europe. We must have dragged them up and down dozens of staircases in about 8 different train stations and subway stations, not to mention the hotels with no elevators... and rolled them several miles through stations and walking from stations to hotels.
They held up beautifully. They are sturdy, attractive (the bright colors make them easy to spot in an airport baggage claim), and stable when rolling (though I recommend packing heavier items at the bottom where the wheels are). The telescoping handle is easy to get up and down, and the duffel can be pulled by either the telescoping handle or the fabric handle depending on the situation (fabric is easier up stairs...)
The large is big enough for enough clothes and so on for a two-week trip using compression bags, without being unwieldy - we got them up onto overhead luggage racks in trains fully packed without too much trouble.
Just a great, tough, versatile piece of luggage for a great price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by romeojuliet too large for airline regs.
I loved the size of this xtra large case but am afraid to use it now on an airline because they said luggage must be 62 inches over all. This case is 66 inches. Should I returen it?

Rated 4 out of 5 by AlanOAK Light, capacious, not always easily handled
I am writing this review based on the bag I bought 7 years ago, which I am now replacing.
I only use this bag when I have so much stuff that I can't fit it all into a carry-on sized bag. This means that I am usually also up against the airlines' 50-lb limit on bag weight. I love this bag because it is so light that I can carry as much as possible. (On the last trip I had 3 tripods + full camping equipment, on the trip before that I had a snorkel and fins.). When full, it usually seems to weigh about 48 lbs, so I would never want a bigger bag.
Many people complain that it doesn't stand up by itself. This is annoying, and makes it more difficult to handle. However, the savings in weight and cost compared to a bag with more "structure" are a perfect trade-off for me. While it is annoying that the bag doesn't stand up, it would be much more annoying to have a heavier bag and risk having to take a second piece of luggage to fit everything under the 50-lb per item limit.
It is not unbreakable, but it took 7 years of abuse by airlines for it to wear out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by obnancy Good quality item.
I just received my medium size rolling duffle. The quality looks good and the color, teal aloha, was just what I wanted. However, I was very disappointed that it was bigger than the description stated (22X11X11). I had hoped that this would be my new carry-on when I traveled by airplane. It is much too big for that. The length is actually closer to 24 inches. I will keep it because I had it monogrammed with my name but I won't be using it like I intended.

I've had my duffle bag for more than 15 yrs, it's been from Florida to Hawaii to Canada and back...and I've never had a bit of trouble with it! You can 'stuff' a lot more in there that would never fit in a conventional suitcase. It's also very easy to roll. I highly recommend it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Richardsmom great bag
We just returned from a trip to Iceland, meaning that we had to take all the winter gear with us. This bag held everything for my son, plus plenty of things that my husband and I couldn't fit into our suitcases. The security straps are a great feature. As others have noted, the only problem is that the bag doesn't stand upright on its own, hence the four-star rating. Our bag is the bright teal color, making it easy to spot at luggage claim. (Iceland is awesome, by the way!)

I was looking for an oversized wheeled duffel bag. It needed to carry a queen sized 20 degree sleeping bag, an extra wide therma-rest mat, and a four person tent. Everything fits! The built-in security straps are a nice touch.

I just got back from a 5 day trip using my new Rolling Duffle Bag. I am a careful packer, but managed to get all my clothes to fit along with an extra pair of shoes and I didn't have to check my bag at the airport. This bag rolls pretty good too...so handy in the long airport walkways. It does tip forward if you try to let it stand by itself, so be careful to lean it against something sturdy if leaving the bag on its end. The color was just as picture...I got the blue flowered bag. Very pretty. Love this bag.

I just received the Adventure Rolling Duffle Medium in Indigo Tropic and it is simply beautiful. It rolls well and is exactly as described. Please note, though, that if you have it monogrammed you may want to call in your order as the thread color defaults to black online and mine is almost invisible. The CSR's are awesome and are getting a new one right out to me (I am about to leave on a trip to FL), and the thread color will be WHITE.
Awesome products and awesome customer service, as always. Thank you LL Bean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by JaniceNorthShore Nice but not too stable
I like the looks of this bag, and it holds plenty. It can serve as the only luggage for myself and my husband for a week's trip. BUT we are extremely frustrated with the fact that it cannot "stand on its own." You must lean it against something or set it flat on its bottom, lengthwise. It would be great if it had something else to balance it--a stand of some kind opposite the wheels, or even a 3rd wheel, or a kick stand!
