Rated 5 out of 5 by PacNWhunter Perfect for Early Season in NW
XXL fit my non-slim fit, have to order "stout" waders, body perfectly. Not too bulky at all, typical medium fleece bottom, and standard windproof fleece thickness at the shoulders. Will work great under rain gear before the need for a warmer jacket arises. Definitely going to be my go to jacket for dry temps above 37-40 degrees (remember I've been wearing the "husky" sizes for a while now, my skinny cousin would most likely find this jacket too cold under 55).
Coolest parts of the jacket are the waterproof sleeves that are softer than expected. They seem stretchy and not stiff. I was expecting to find them uncomfortable under my rain gear, but they're really similar to windproof fleece and aren't much different than any other layer I'd wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Seniorduckhunter Hydrofowl fleece jacket
This jacket is not what it appears to be. The fleece is very light weight, too light for waterfowl hunting. I purchased this jacket to use with Bean's Technical waterfowl shell but it would not zip into the shell as described. The camo material at the upper part of the jacket is not fleece and is very light weight material providing less warmth where it is needed, the back and shoulders.
I have been a Bean customer for years and I could always rely on Bean to provide good quality hunting clothing, not the case with this jacket. Poor quality, poor design, it is being returned.

I don't like tight fitting jackets and this jacket fits the bill. The jacket is surprisingly warm and it does stop with wind. I use this jacket exclusively on my trap line and I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 Nice jacket
Warm, generously sized. Like the waterproof lower sleeves. Doesn't hang up on my gun when mounting. One suggestion for improvement would be a drawstring around the waist.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NewScotland Not so good if you are tall
The manufacturing quality of this jacket is very high, no question about it. If you are tall, though, the light gray fabric around the trunk goes up very high on your chest and may stick out from your waders by quite a bit. I sent this back because it seemed like the exposed fleece would both catch a lot of debris and absorb water if it rains. I would have really liked this jacket if thethe smooth camo fabric were extended a few inches further below the armpits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrenchBulldogLover wonderful jacket
I went to the LL Bean store in Maine, saw this fleece and had to buy it. I'm a female hunter, the small is a little big but its very comfy. I bought this for a good quality fall coat and love it. The sleeves reallly are waterproof up to the elbow. This is soft, warm, and great quality. Also the zippers are good quality. I highly recommend this for back country style as well as function.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FourElks Jacket Needs Waist Drawcord
This is a good jacket. The fit was perfect and I really like the waterproof sleeve fabric. The only suggestion I have, and it was suggested by another reviewer, is that the jacket needs a waist drawcord to tighten the waist (or bottom of the jacket). The jacket needs to fit snug against the waist while hunting or walking through weeds and brush. Otherwise, I would have given a five star rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RanfurlyRob A light multifunctional jacket
I just purchased this jacket and will know more in time. That said, the jacket seems to block wind and provide ample warmth for hikes, etc in the 20 degree plus range. Additionally, there is enough room underneath for appropriate base layer(s). I believe the waterproof sleeves will serve well for retrieveing flies, decoys, etc. Looks nice!

A great early season jacket - if the temps dip below 40 - duck hunting weather - you will need to layer over it - otherwise, fantastic!
