Rated 4 out of 5 by Rondo41 Comfortable fit..nice looking
These gloves were purchased as a replacement for gloves that I lost only one of and since the winter like weather persisted, there was a need for them. Because they are unlined, they may not be appropriate for a full winter's wear, but the comfort they offer is still admirable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by littlebuck Soft, grippy and feel great
While Pa'tridge Gloves are outstanding shooting gloves --I have used them that way for years--they are also great general purpose gloves. It is difficult to find the really soft, supple unlined gloves that I prefer for everyday use, so I bought this latest pair a size large and they are ideal for me. For general use buy them large but for shooting use the measuring chart for a snug fit.

Perfect fit to protect hands with fragile skin connecting harness snaps plus leashes to excited dogs jumping and nipping, eager to get out of the house and go out for a winter run. No gun handling here, but same challenge of dexterity, non-slip grip, protection from edges (here, friendly puppy nips), and warmth while holding lines and leashes. 5-start recommendation!

Just received these gloves. They are super comfortable and fit great. Leathers are soft and palms have good grip. I don't know how durable they'll be. The soft leather makes me wonder its durability. I could see the gloves be used for other than shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grousepoint Great upland hunting gloves at a good price
I wear these gloves while grouse hunting. I shoot a SxS with double triggers and need a good fitting glove that allows me to find and feel the triggers quickly. Additionally, they have to be tough enough to protect my hands while busting through the brush. So far these gloves seem to be doing both very well. I had read the reviews prior to ordering and sensed that perhaps they ran a little small so I ordered XXL. They are too big. I then got a pair of XLs and they are perfect. XL is what I would normally wear. Quality of materials and construction seem very good to me. I chase grouse here in Northern Wisconsin probably on average of at least 4 days a week, October through January. My gloves really take a beating. So far I am very satisfied with these gloves.

I have been looking for a pair of soft leather gloves to wear when I shoot shotgun sports. I shoot 3 times per week and give gloves, or my hands, a real workout. I measured my hands according to the instructions, ordered a size L and was excited to receive my gloves just a few days later. As always with L.L. Bean, they were made beautifully, felt luxurious and almost fit.
The four fingers, palm and wrist were sized perfectly but I could absolutely not get my thumb into the glove. The fingers were exactly the right length and diameter. The hand was snug but not tight. The wrist strap closed and held well with the Velcro. But the thumb was the diameter of my little finger and about the same length. There was just no way to get my thumb more than half way into the glove.
I was very disappointed and had to return the gloves. I will probably wait a month and order another pair hoping that the first pair was just made too small at the factory. I really did love the look and feel of the gloves, just the thumb was a problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by robertinbakersfield Great fit and quality
The size small fits my small, square "man hands" well (I'm 5'3'). Appear to be well made. Leather is soft and thicker than the shooting gloves I have purchased from you in the past (Bob Allen's I believe.). Still has good "trigger feel" and excellent purchase, even when hands are soaked with sweat during 100+ degree skeet shoots.

I initially purchased a Medium but exchanged them for a Large, which "fit like a glove". I bought them for quail hunting in North Georgia. The day I went hunting was the coldest day of the season and the gloves were warm enough (barely) although I did not anticipate using them at 35F. The big news is the fit - the gloves were sufficiently designed and constructed that I could mount the shotgun, pull the trigger, and reload with no decrease in dexterity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DRice Nice Materials, Terrible Fit
The fingers fit perfectly, the thumb pocket is probably 2/3 of the appropriate diameter, and probably too long--can't really tell about the thumb length as I can't get my thumb very far into the glove. And no, I don't have thick thumbs. I expect better quality control from LLBean.
Materials seem to be very nice.
Of course, this is the risk (and disappointment) of shopping online...
