Rated 2 out of 5 by ILoveBoatandToteBags Why did you change these?
If I were a four-armed monster, this may work because the armholes are large enough to put two arms in each hole. Who wants to walk around showing half of their under garments? (I'm size small, 118 pounds.) I LOVE my sleeveless tropicwear from several years ago, and I wear it all the time. WHY did you redesign it? I don't like the higher vent panel in the back nor the new placement of pockets in the front. And the thick rubber buttons are very hard to button. I am a huge LL Bean fan and I order a lot, but this redesign was a BIG mistake! Please go back to the former version!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelerSue Great shirts for traveling in warm countries
I have 4 of these sleeveless shirts, I actually love the green color shirt and have 3 other colors. I wear these to warm humid countries such as Thailand and they wash well and come out of the dryer without ironing and looking good. I like the slight fitted fit and the neat little zipper pocket for putting some pocket money or a driver's license etc. I usually buy the medium size and I am around a size 10 petite, I am 5'2 and weigh around 133 lbs. I bought more when they went on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PollyPrissyPants Great after I Sized Up
Although I love the fabric of these, I wasn't happy with the fit. The sleeveless and short sleeved versions pulled funny across the bust. Usually I wear a medium or small in Bean shirts, but my husband suggested that I try a large just to test it out. It's perfect now: the bust doesn't pull and the armholes fit closer to the body--an excellent hot weather active shirt!

I am really sorry that I did not like this shirt. Too much bra showing in the arm holes and the buttons are extremely had to button. The buttons are rubber and the button holes to small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frenesi Short-sleeve Convert!
I've never purchased a short-sleeved shirt before; I wear tank tops, but at least once a year I have a sunburn on my shoulders. When a previous reviewer suggested this shirt would make a good vest, I decided to try it. I also loved the idea of the eyeglass loops, and the chest pockets.
I've worn it a few times now for hiking and really enjoyed it. I ordered a large and the chest fits perfectly. The length and hips are great and don't bind at all. While the armholes do gape a bit, I wear an apple green bra (Olga minimizer 38D) under and it blends in with the shirt well enough. I could wear a thin tank or a sports bra under the shirt.
I wear a lot of green but tend to go for the muted colours, unless it's an emerald green. On my monitor the colour appears muted enough, but monitors don't convey all of the elements of the human eye. I was surprised how bright the green actually is--it's more of a pea green than a true lime shade. Calling it "Bright Citrus" is an ample warning, I guess. I decided it would be good for visibility walking on the streets at dusk.
Now I'm ogling the long-sleeved version of the Tropicwear shirt, with roll tabs on the sleeves. I have what was a camp shirt with that type of sleeve that doesn't seem to be offered anymore. I had to size up and use it as a "big shirt", but I loved the two chest pockets and the gorgeous turquoise plaid in a soft, thin flanelette. I'd love another one of those in a large, too.
LLBean is definitely the place for button-front shirts! I love that they offer the cozy guy shirts for women.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Amythegardener Love the style but where's the petite version?
I am so glad LLB listened to its customers and provided petite versions of this shirt in the long and short-sleeve styles. However, I am highly disappointed that the same consideration was not given to the sleeveless version! I would buy this shirt in ALL colors offered if it was a bit shorter, but as is the regular fit is too long and unflattering. Please LLB, so much of your outdoor and travel clothing needs to be offered in petites!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FloridianSleeveless Women's Sizes Needed!
Please start carrying more plus sized tops. Many women are top heavy and need the extra room. This top is perfect but RUNS SMALL. LLBean would sell many more if they offered them in Plus sizes. Please choose to carry women's shirts that are longer in length. Most everything is too short for plus sizes. Factor in the shrinkage, it's even worse. I love LLBean but please expand your line of Plus sizes! You are losing out on a lot of customers!

I tried on one of these shirts in an outlet store, but it was the green one and too bright, so I ordered online. I wanted it to wear as a vest and it is perfect. So, I ordered two more in other colors. As for the colors, they are MUCH paler than they appear on your computer screen (except for the green). I'm a size 8-10 and the L was a great fit as a vest over a T-shirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PeaBrainsOpinion MORE STYLISH THAN FUNCTIONABLE
My Two Cents Worth: One size fits too tight across the bust and cuts into my arm pits but the next size up has arm holes that show WAY too much of my bra meaning I can't comfortably wear this shirt in public. Also, the new 'streamlined' style of pocket and 'side shaping' have a 'girdle' effect on the bust line - I'm of average size and feel smashed into the shirt and it looks that way too - The older style with the billowed pockets was much more comfortable, useful and more flattering plus the arm holes fit better though still too large - and I'm not petite in the least. It's too hard to get a fly box in and out of these pockets - a lot of money down the drain if you drop it in the drink, and a day of fun ruined. The fabric looks nice and drys quickly with few wrinkles but the 'candy cotton' color choices are getting old year after year - I'd like to see some natural earth colors: Olive, khaki, light sage, clay, off white, etc. I would not suggest this top to a friend without the above warnings. I think LLB is trying to make this shirt work for too many different situations instead of making two styles: 1 - A 'cutesy' stylish model you can wear to work in trendy colors and 2 - A comfortable 'functional' model in natural hues that blend into the enviornment.
