Rated 5 out of 5 by BJade light-weight, travel-worthy
Got this end of summer for a few $ less. This sun protective shirt costs more, but it's very comfortable in the heat -- breathable and light weight. Great for travel & camping trips, u can hand wash and drip dry it quickly. no darts or shaping for a woman's curves. if you don't mind a flattened frontal look, it's fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ldshopper Great quality shirt
I already own 2 tropicwear solid color shirts and decided to buy the plaid. Nice lightweight fabric. It will be great for travel as it takes up little space in the suitcase. The color is slightly darker than it appears online. I felt it was true to size. I bought the XL and the plaid fits the same way as the solid colored shirts. The fabric feels similar to seersucker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gdok Sizing is fine
I bought a Large based on other reviews. It was enormous and I had to exchange it for a Medium. The Medium is plenty big. I have normal sized shoulders and a large chest, and usually have to go to a size 12 for button up shirts, but this one is fine. The shirt itself is really great. Lightweight, but not see-through. Nice crinkled fabric that you don't need to iron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HappyTrails1 Runs Big
I ordered this plaid shirt as well as the solid blue tropicware short sleeve shirt, both in XL. The tropicware solid blue XL fit fine but the plaid was big. There are other reviews that support this difference in the cut. I found the tropicware solid blue XL a little loose, but it was very comfortable across the bust and in the sleeves, which is where previous reviews have noted it to be snug.
I recommend upsizing for the solid shirt, unless you have really skinny arms and a small bust.
I'm returning the plaid tropicware shirt. It's nice but I'm not sure if I will order a size L. I like the solid color better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lovetosail2 Best shirt ever!
I love this shirt! The material is so very light and cool; even lighter than the solid color tropicwear shirts. The fit is exactly like the other tropicwear shirts. The blue plaid is pretty, but More colors please!! I would like to order more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GDBpuppyraiser What a treat
I have the older version of this shirt. It is horribly unflattering, large and boxy and shapeless. It was hiding in the back of my closet but I needed the pockets, I have found they are wonderful for holding the treats for training my dogs. I can load up one pocket with treats and the velcro on the pocket keeps them from falling out when I bend over to hug the dogs. I can put my iphone in the other pocket if I am not wearing pants that have a pocket. The new shirt is a huge improvement. Well made, actually looks nice on, washes well. I am back to buy a second one. Thank you LL Bean for redesigning this shirt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SuzyTOubre Not for a Pear Shape
I am a Pear Shaped woman and most of LLBean's shirts do not work for me. If I get them to fit around my hips they are way to big in the shoulders, if they fit in the shoulders I cannot button them around my hip area. So, long story short I had to return the shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by luvbooks wonderful fabric!
This fabric is a bit lighter weight than the solid-colored shirts. Cool beyond belief. The yummiest material ever! The blue (only) plaid is rather masculine-looking. I wish it were offered in a somewhat more "girly" plaid or even a pastel print. It is also longer than it needs to be. Too long to wear outside the pants and hard to tuck in. Please make more plaids, checks or patterns. I highly recommend this shirt!

Rated 3 out of 5 by beanshopperj Nice but tight
I really liked the shirt except for the size. According to the sizing chart it should have easily fit. The reality was that it was tight across the chest. I'm going to try the next size up, but it might be huge.
