I have multiple of these and they keep items secure and within reach when I am on the water fly fishing. This one will be used for my waterproof digital camera. Others used for net, other fishing gear and several years old and as good as new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bluewing Nice Retractor
I grew tired of "regular" zingers breaking so I thought I would try something built better. I really like this retractor - heavier duty build, the cord is a nice woven nylon or synthetic that is strong and long, pins securely to my vest. Looks like this should last a long time as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tthh Gear Keeper by Hammerhead
This is an ideal product for use as a zinger on a trout vest. I have used a Hammerhead mini gear keeper for 5 years for a ketchum release tool and its perfect... light weight and much stronger than a zinger.
Having lost two sets of tools to zinger (read Dr slick) failure, I ordered this product.
Note, the catalog carries several of these and the sizes range from small to quite large. The pin on version in the catalog is too large to use as a zinger, where as the clip on version is the correct size. After much confusion, costumer service helped me order the smallest pin on model directly from the llbean store. It worked out great.

Actually larger than expected but works well. The pin is not easy to push through some fabrics before you screw on the back piece but once it's on it's not going anywhere. Time will tell, but it feels very durable.

Essential product for keeping gps, water bottle, compass etc readily available but safe from falling out of jacket pockets and being lost. Don't go in the deep woods without it attached to the gear that matters!

Once again, this is a fine product. It functions with ease and firmly pins to the suspenders of my waders. Expensive when compared to other zingers, but if this continues to performs as well as it has, I'll say it is indeed worth the price!
