Rated 5 out of 5 by TRetz Excellent for small nymphs
I was initially put off by the price, but after I bought one and used it for a year, I bought another. It is such a treat to have a FLAT flybox in my vest. I use them for size 12-18 nymphs and wetflies. I've had no trouble with rusting hooks. I measured my vest pockets carefully before I bought them, to make sure they'd fit.

These boxes are about 1/8 inch too thin to use for dry flies with parachutes and big stone fly nymphs. It's a shame because I really like the concept and they appear well made.

Well made, I replaced 3 other fly boxes when I put this box in my fly vest because it holds so many flies.

These fly boxes are very well designed for small nymphs, soft hackles and wet flies (generally size 14 or 16 and smaller). I originally got a couple for midge nymphs (size 18 and smaller), but have picked up a few more for slightly larger nymphs, soft hackles and wet flies. They hold quite a few flies in a very orderly manner. Others have made the point of the clear cover allowing you to see the flies, which is a plus (though not a large plus, since you are generally going to be opening any fly box to pick out a fly anyway and I label my other fly boxes so I can tell what is in them before I open them up). I would not recommend this box for dry flies (other than perhaps spinner patterns) - it is so thin it will likely crush the hackles.

It is exactly as discribed. It takes up very little space in my pack. It is "Ultra-Thin" so if any larger flies are placed in the box it will not close tightly. I have other boxes for larger flies.

This thing is thinner than your iPhone and comes in whatever size your shirt pocket can accommodate. Nicer than that, flies are held in a pressure slot rather than hooking them into foam of some kind, so you can keep using the Ultra-Thin for years. Nicer than that, even the smallest box holds more flies than you can lose in a week's fishing.
And the price is remarkable. Yeah, we drive a Prius, too.

Fly boxes can be bulky, anyone carrying more than a couple knows what I mean. The ultra thin fly box allows me to separate my flies to a degree, I carry my nymphs and small soft hackles in it leaving my larger thicker boxes for larger flies like stimulators, wooly buggers and the like. This is an excellent product and as my "collection" of nymphs and soft hackles grows so does my number of ultra thin boxes, now I'm culling by color not just size.

Holds all my small nymphs, more than a days worth even with tough stream bottoms and trees. Could be slightly shorter and occasionally beadheads come loose.

These boxes are great for very small dry flies or small to medium nymph patterns but if you use them for dry flies much bigger than number 16 or 18 or with upright wings/parachute patterns they will mash your flies wings permanently. The boxes are great otherwise and I will buy more for what they are good for.
