These sheets are poor quality. Less than 2 years old and fabric is ripping horizontally. Paid way too much for the set to have them do this. And as mentioned by others, the top hem on the top sheets rolls and no matter what you do it can't be stopped. Quality percale sheets don't exist anymore so I just went to a big store and bought a entire cotton set complete with 4 pillowcases for less than I paid for ONE sheet from here.
Save your money. We are disappointed, we love percale. But I give up looking and wasting money.

Bought a 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet, Fitted in May 2013. Less than one year later fabric has already torn. Also it wrinkles up under your shoulder as one turns from one side to another, leaving uncomfortable imprints on ones skin.

I have had this sheet for less than a year and it has become so threadbare in one spot that is falling apart. I am disappointed in the quality of this sheet. This sheet was purchased to replace a LLBean sheet that I had for at least 5 years, I guess that kind of wear is a thing of the past!

I really like these sheets. They are a high quality cotton, soft and easy to launder. If you get them right out of the dryer they are nice and smooth and easy to fold.
I love the windowpane design that is woven in rather than "stamped" on to the fabric.
I hope to have them as long as my other LL Bean sheets, which is a long time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OldLadywho Faded unevenly
I definitely must have done something wrong when washing these sheets -- but if they are fussy, that won't work for me.
I had a pair of sheets my aunt gave me when I went to college n 1970 and 30 years later they were still in service in a spare bedroom with only a few worn places. Those were great sheets!
These sheets faded and not uniformly. They seemed to streak, kind of white, pale lavender and even kind of brown.
The fit was excellent and the material seems nice but the dye job was lacking.

These sheets are obviously not the ones reviewed by Consumer Reports. I looked on their website and the packaging was different. Needless to say, these are wonderful sheets. Soft, crisp and don't wrinkle (too much). The bottom sheet has deep pockets, enough for a mattress and a topper. I bought the Light Blue color and it matched what was shown on the Internet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ShoppingWarrior Quality Steadily Deteriorating
Based on the glowing review in Consumer Reports, I purchased a set of these sheets in 2010 and they were indeed wonderful. Even after three years of heavy use, they still snap like taffeta when shaken. Then in 2011, I bought another set, expecting to receive the same sheets. Sadly, these were not the same--good sheets but not wonderful ones. There was no explanation for the change in quality.
Very recently, in 2013, a third set were ordered. These are noticibly rougher, so much so that I am going to return them. No one would be happy sleeping on these sheets. This deterioration of quality while the price has increased is just not acceptable.
(All sheets were white, king size, and were washed before using)

Rated 5 out of 5 by mbzr Trusting Consumer Reports Rating
I recently ordered a Pima Percale 280 thread count flat sheet, fitted sheet, and a pair of pillowcases. It will be some time before I will be able to determine actual quality but for now I will say; in Consumer Reports I Trust. Consumer Reports painted a dismal picture of sheet makers/sellers overall, but gave the LL Bean Pima Percale sheets a high rating. I purchased these sheets solely on the recommendation of Consumer Reports and have faith they would not put their reputation on the line for inferior sheets. The sheets look and feel great so far. I hope I remember to update this review or post a new one in another 6 months or so to let others know how the sheets fit and hold up over time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LLBeanLover51 Soft and nice but ripped withing days
These sheets are nice cotton and a beautiful color, so I was so excited to get them (in the right size .. had mistakenly ordered wrong size earlier). The top flat sheet is fine but, unfortunately, the bottom fitted sheet ripped right in the center within a week of putting on the bed. I left it on for another couple of days, and lo and behold, another rip appeared, lower down on the same line. Clearly something to do with the weave. So disappointed. I love LLBean and order almost all my clothing and home goods from them, but these did not make the grade. Just received the flannel ones as a replacement. They got great reviews and seem to last.

i'm always in search of good quality sheets that stand up to bleach and rust remover and these won't be on my go to list in the future. an ok sheet, but not a memorable sheet for that price.....colors will immediately fade with first wash. (yes, I know I didn't follow washing instructions)
