These sheets are the absolute best. I have an obsession with sheets. I've had $400 sheet sets but nothing compares to these. They keep you cool and also warm...durable, wrinkle free. A+++++ ll bean! You get what you pay for and with this item, you get quality!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Checkmate1952 Too big, rough texture
The fitted sheets were too big and came loose allowing the sheet to wrinkle and bunch up, making it necessary to completely strip the bed daily to retighten the sheets. Also, the texture was quite rough and scratchy on my face.
I ordered both the heirloom lilac and the blue windowpane. The colors were just lovely, but they really were not comfortable to sleep on so I returned them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrancoAmericaine I've been won over
I'm a long time customer of both LLB and its "Midwestern competitor"--LLB for outerwear, and the other for sheets and towels because there was much more choice. Given the recent precipitous decline in quality of the sheets I purchased elsewhere, I decided to give LLB a chance for my new set of sheets. And I'm glad I did. These are silky (for percale, which I vastly prefer to sateen) and tightly woven. And (because thread count isn't everything), I will add that they seem substantial enough to last a good long time. On this point, I would like to add that it would be good if sellers indicated the weight of the fabric as well as the thread count.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tazwell sizing
I purchased these sheets for a full size bed. The fabric is good and they wash well, mine have been washed twice. My problem is that the fitted sheet is made for an extremely thick mattress. My mattress is 10" inches thick and this sheet gaps all around. Would be okay on a 15" mattress. Also, the pillow cases are a bit large for a standard size pillow. I have used these sheets once and doubt that I will use them again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Valleygirl Good quality sheets at a reasonable price
While these are not the most luxurious sheets I've ever owned, they are very good quality for the price. I recently paid almost three times this amount for designer sheets I had been pining when all my percale sheets seemed to wear out at the same time. I coordinated the Silver Sand color with the Driftwood Maine Heritage Cotton Blanket. Now I have a lovely new coordinated wardrobe for my bed. Thanks to L. L. Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Redclassic Comfortable and wrinkle-free
Some time ago, Consumer Reports recommended these sheets; tried them in yellow and have been so satisfied that I recently purchased these and another set in heirloom lilac. The first set in yellow had a minor tear but it was no problem returning them for another flat sheet. I was so pleased with Customer Service that I now feel comfortable purchasing bedding online. Can't believe they still offer free shipping!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Cindy44 Defect
Was pleased to receive the sheets but very disappointed to find that the fitted sheet had a defect. The very center had a 3 inch slash in the fabric - almost completely through all the fibers. Will return but very frustrated as this is for our guest room and hoping I get a replacement in time for Christmas.
Also disappointed that I have to pay the return shipping for a product defect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Valleygirl Fun mixing stripes with florals
These are not the highest thread count or best quality sheets I have ever owned, but I needed a fitted sheet fast as all mine seemed to wear out at the same time. I like being able to mix the fitted striped sheet with the floral sheets I purchased last spring. The pastel colors will go well with my other linens and the percale is quite soft. I cannot comment on durability just yet, but they appear to be well made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AW04 Fading problems
I bought these sheets in Light Blue because Consumer Reports recommended them and of course because of the LL Bean guarantee. I like the feel (very nice in the summer) and that they are generously sized- the corners don't pop off the mattress!
However, after about 6 months, I noticed that they were starting to discolor. They looked both faded and yellowish in the middle of the sheets and pillowcases. I just couldn't figure it out, we always shower after exercising and I change the sheets every 1-2 weeks. I tried different laundry products to no avail. I've never had this happen with any other sheets before.
I brought them back and got a set in Vintage Green, so I hope the same thing doesn't happen. Fingers crossed...
