So far so good. I wore it on a couple of plane trips, and in general it keeps me comfortable. It provides a little warmth on the plane and lots of pockets. I can put smart phones in the side pockets, and not have to worry about them falling out. --- That is a big help.But, you have to be careful that letters and other things don't sneak out of the inside (breast) pockets.

I used something like this years ago while traveling in Europe, and found it tremendously practical: enough warmth for your core on chilly mornings or cool days, pockets for everything and enough security to foil pickpockets on public transportation and airports. Unfortunately, in the intervening years my closet caused it to shrink, so I was delighted to find this version by LL Bean. It is sturdily made, but still light enough, and as many pockets as I wanted. Tired of using it around the house. Can't wait to plan a trip this summer!

Good quality material; sturdy stitching. I bought this because I don't like to carry a bag when traveling, so my wife ends up carrying my medicine, wallet, cell phone, etc.
I liked this one so much that I wore it almost everyday. I wish you'd sell it in more colors.

Fits great , has lots of pockets to put things, my galaxy note two fits in the inside pocket. Extremely comfortable although I am right at the size break and I purchased the medium which is a little big. I have a 38 inch chest, I plan on buying another one and I think l'll buy a small
Onel this time. But the medium is super with a heavier shirt.

My new vest arrived yesterday and I could not be more pleased. The shipping was extremely fast, as usual when shopping with L.L.Bean?and sizing was on spot. This vest is absolutely perfect for the traveler. I read many of the reviews and am a bit confused regarding the sparse negative comments. This vest is not heavy. It's just the right material to hold its shape and appear fashionable. I prefer this design over a "mesh? type tropical/safari style vest that essentially prints what one is carrying. This is one for the conventional traveler and not a professional requiring many different features? and it will be worn often in our upcoming trip to Europe (5th time#.
I love the assorted styles of pockets, as they accommodate the right things in the right places and with the correct enclosure retainers?and secured properly. Pickpockets in Europe are notorious. One can securely store especial important documents, wallets, etc. in the inside pockets and have no concern. I can easily place a tri-fold wallet in one inside pocket and recover it without a lot of fanfare, yet a pickpocket will have to be darn proficient to gather it without my knowledge # tip: place a large safety pin over the entry point?that will bog his/her mind, rest assured#. Some have expressed concern with the width of pocket enclosures. I have found no issues along those lines. It?s simply a matter of planning as to where items should be stored. The lower outside pockets expand to handle a point-and-shoot camera with ease and not appear to be carrying a brick.
The vest is an excellent value and serves its purpose well. YMMV #your mileage may vary).

This vest is perfect for a world traveler. Plenty of secure pockets to make pickpockets ineffective. The fabric and tailoring is very nice, the 3X is true to size and looks trim, not sloppy. I bought this for my husband knowing I would wear it if he didn't want to, but it's so good looking he wants it. I'm going to order another for myself.

This product meets my needs very well and as expected. I needed a way to accomodate the many items which I typically carry: 2 wallets, hearing aid control,pills container, cell phone, pen, comb, note pad, sun glasses, small pocket knife and nail clippers. I wear the vest on outings away from home, such as casino visits. It is invaluable at airport security checkpoints. I place the vest in the tray and walk right thru. My elastic sweatpants don't require a belt and being over 75 lets me keep my shoes on. Flying thru security is a breeze!

extremely well made and designed travel vest. Would love to see LLB come out with more color options and also a tropic weight version, ie., super light weight.
This is a great value for the price!
