Rated 5 out of 5 by LunchWife Toooo Bad
I was really hoping that all the containers I may put in my husband's lunch would fit. But with a V8 and soda water, it just wasn't big enough. Oh Well. The construction looked to be very durable. I'll keep looking for something more square 9x7 works really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jjhurls The ideal lunch bucket for the office.
With lunch costs going up everyone in the family has one. We now have 4. This product is "right-sized." It's relatively thin and not boxy. I like to use 2 half-height Subzero canisters on each end. There's room inside for a Coleman half-height thermos and 4 pieces of fruit. The carry strap and clip are very durable. Nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Glitterbird Best Lunch Box EVER!!!
I bought 2 of these for my 3rd and 6th grade boys to use as lunchboxes. They are a little on the big side but they are happy because it gives them extra space to put their water bottles in there rather than carrying them separately or putting them in the backpacks. I use a lot of containers and thermoses for packing their lunches and everything fits in beautifully, including bento-type containers. If the larger size is OK with your child, I TOTALLY recommend this one!

This is my second soft pack cooler. The first one was for me, and this one is for my son. Great for small outings, work day and school lunches. It holds 2 water bottles, 2 sandwiches and snacks with room to spare. The quality is just what I expect from LL Bean, and I know it will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tarar1220 great cooler
I purchased one of these in March of 2012 and have used it almost every day since then. During the week I take it to work and on my days off I take it kayaking. Living in the South I kayak year round and since I paddle 1000+ miles per year most of my days off are spent paddling. My cooler still looks like new except for a little staining of the interior liner. I have mine in the color Midnight. It has not faded at all. It never ceases to amaze me how much it will hold either

Rated 5 out of 5 by bizzymomx3 personal softpack cooler
I bought this lunchbox for my 16 year old son. At his age, he has a monster appetite! I needed something that was big enough but not extraordinarily large. This box fit the bill! He can stuff it with all his favorite goodies, place it in the fridge, everything stays cold to cool.
The cooler is lightweight, and the steely gray and black looks cool.
It's nicer than the one I bought for my younger son at a large retail store, and it's bigger.
I would absolutely recommend it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marcy74 Softpack Cooler, Personal
This cooler is well built and should last a long time. The beech-nut color is perfect and just what I expected. The top, bottom, and four sides are well padded, insulated. The bag is sized just right for the 17 Oz. stainless steel vacuum bottle and a sandwich. With organized packing, an apple turnover can fit comfortably with the vacuum bottle and sandwich and not be crushed or "squshed" into a mess. I am very happy with the purchase.
This bag would receive a five star rating if LL Bean had specified a small tab at the back of each outside corner. This tab would give the owner an anchor to hold while trying to close the top-most zippers.

We have all three sizes of the Softpack Cooler and love them. My husband uses the medium while kayaking and I use the small one for taking drinks to horse shows! The large one will be used for camping trips!

Rated 5 out of 5 by enots Great Lunch Tote : )
I have been looking for a lunch tote that was not to small and not giant but fulfilled my needs and kept my food cold until lunch time. This one does I take a medium sized blue freezer pack (frozen) and wrap paper towel around it and put it in a sandwich baggie and put it in the top mesh compartment, and it keeps my soda and either salad or sandwich and chips and a piece of fruit and there is plenty of room for more if I need to carry extra. But the tote is not overly large it just holds a lot. The only thing I would change is instead of the silver loose lining I would like to see thermofleck lining I think it would hold up better in the long run, and either plastic bottom or put feet on bottom as the exterior is canvas type material. But over all I love the lunch tote.
