Light was smaller than expected, but still very bright. Camping with Cub Scouts and everyone had little LED lanterns. When I brought this out, it was by far the brightest and everyone asked what kind it was. Hangers on top are great for attaching to inside tent or pop-up.

I've wanted this lantern for a long time and finally ordered it. Can light up a room, wonderful during a power outage and great at a campsite, much safer than the old mantle type also has a little weight to it so it doesn't tip over. Would definitely recommend.

Very well thought out. I bought this lantern for emergencies. but I am finding more things to use it for. out doors in the evening for reading. Or added light when I am working on something detailed. 250 lumens is very bright and for the burn time at that power is amazing 15 hours 168 at 10 lumens. I can get along with half. at any rate it is a very good buy. well engineered, that means you don't notice it. it just works

I purchased the Titan lantern to use if we experience a power outage. The Titan utilizes two metal collapsible hooks that permit secure hanging options. The lantern's top piece is joined to the telescoping globe by three hex-head stainless steel screws that make for a nice, tight fit. The lantern utilizes two reflectors positioned top and bottom to transmit artifact-free white light through a semi-opaque globe that significantly reduces the LED harshness that so many find objectionable. This lantern has variable LED output capability; simply depress the combination on/off/dimmer switch to obtain the desired lumen level. When fully dimmed, the lantern emits 16 lumens for up to 168 hours...enough to illuminate a 16 foot diameter spot. At maximum, the numbers increase to 250 lumens for 24 hours that will illuminate a 45 foot diameter area. The ability to dim up or down...and anywhere in between, makes this lantern extremely practical and useful. Also, just above the on/off/dimmer switch is a momentary battery status indicator. Each time the user powers on the lantern, the indicator light will display either green, yellow or red indicating >50%, 20% to 50% or <20% of battery life remaining respectively. The indicator light then turns off about a minute later to prevent continued battery drain. The four D-cell batteries are housed is a separate battery magazine that slides into the lantern's base. The notched battery magazine is designed to install only one way so no question about correct polarity. Once the battery magazine is inserted, simply screw on the base piece and you now have a firm, positive contact between the battery magazine and the lantern's internal electrical contacts. The base piece that screws onto the lantern has three rubberized footings for added traction and a rubberized O-ring to help prevent moisture intrusion into the battery area. Overall, the Titan is a solid, superbly designed LED lantern from Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd.

Sent this lantern to my SIL for his birthday. He loved it!! Last year, I Sent a few things from LL Bean's and among them was your small LED lantern. He and his family just loved the little one. They had a power outage and this little trooper of a lantern out lasted every other source of light they had! I Decided to upgrade to a bigger lantern for my SIL' s gift for the performance of the little one. The family loved it. I'm as happy and delighted as can be..Thank you LL Bean!!

Got this lantern to replace the oil lamps we've been using for years. We wanted something safer and something we could use outdoors. This lamp is high quality and shines brightly. Has dimmer feature to tone down the light and conserve battery power. Has solid weight so won't tip over easily--great when you have cats!

The Black Diamond Titan Lantern is very compact for storage and it extends easily when it is needed for light. I love the dimmer. You can choose whether you use very dim or bright light. The lantern is perfect if the electricity goes out or if you go camping. We gave one of these lanterns as a gift and then we had to have one for ourselves.

Our family is new to camping and thought a battery operated lantern would be easier to use than a liquid fuel powered one. The Titan collapes for easy storage and shines very bright. It is very lightweight.

Bought this for my son-in-law as they camp a lot in the summer. My daughter came upon him using it during the night in their living room to check it out---------he really likes it.
