The Easy Cot was easy to set up and take down. Carry bag makes for easy transport. The cot is sturdy, yet comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NewEnglandPreppy Great for sleepovers and car camping
We love the cot. We have two, and we would strongly recommend them. We use them both for car camping and for when my son has sleepovers. For car camping, we fit two of these into a rectangular 8-person tent with space on the floor between for 2 more adults or 3 kids. All our gear gets stowed under the cots and out of the way. The cots are much more comfortable than inflatable beds, and we have comfortably slept on them for 4 nights in a row. We do not use sleeping mats with them while camping, although you could if it were especially cold. They have plastic feet that have not gouged through our tent floor even though we've used them in the tent for several years. Our tent does have a heavy-duty floor though. They are very stable when open, and they store neatly into a bag with shoulder carry strap when not in use.We also use them whenever my son has friends sleep over, and they work great for that...again, much more comfortable than inflatables. Future improvements that would be nice would be a hanging pocket from one side for a flashlight or phone and a slightly longer strap on the carrying bag so one could hang the bag from the opened cot.

I ordered two of these for my husband and I and they are awesome! The size is great and they are super-comfy. I can't wait to take them camping when the weather gets nicer. You will not be disappointed.

I bought this cot last year for camping and to sleep on when I lose my bed for overnight guests. The cot has been perfect and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cot!!

Received in mail. Good packaging. Tested cot seems fine. At 31 inches wide, more comfortable than my old 26 inch wide model. I am 6' 1" and this cot is longer than my old one and has room for pillow too, No exposed metal parts on top, this is a benefit. Set up is effortless. Byer of Maine is the design company. Can't wait to use it for next camping trip in Shenandoah National Park the end of this month. Packed size is a little bigger in diameter than standard folding chairs. Researched 36 inch wide cots but they take up too much tent space. Quality seems very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Movernotshaker Good guest bed
I bought this cot to use as a guest bed at my daughter's house. It's quite heavy, but that served me well as far as having a sturdy bed to sleep on. I also purchased the camp futon to use with it based on earlier reviews. The combination allowed me to put sheets on it and feel (almost) as if I were sleeping on a real bed. I can set it up by myself if the legs are facing me as the cot rests on its side, then lift it while kicking out the easily-collapsible legs (I'm a fairly fit woman in her early 60's). It's simple if two people are putting it up. Make sure you sit on the center of the cot-- if you sit on one end, the end legs can collapse under you. It's quite easy to fold back up and get it into its handy carrying sack.

When not backcountry camping, we tend to disperse car camp in national forests or on BLM land. So weight is not an issue. And after a long Hike or paddle, I look forward to the little luxuries car camping provides. This cot is just the ticket. It is heavy and a bit awkward when loading the van. Yet the comfort at the end of the day is worth the hassle. So simple to set up (less than a minute). Very sturdy and stable. You can roll over with ease and the cot will not shake or wobble. Love the flaps that protect you from pinch points. I suggest placing self inflating sleep pads on top of the cots. Although not necessary, the pads give your back a tad more support and are a perfect insulator in the cooler temps. Great product. Bought from ll bean (on sale)and saved significantly over other sites. Great value, I highly recommend.

We now have a total of four of these cots and love them. We use them for tent camping and for extra sleeping space when we have house guests. While they are a bit heavy when you're lugging them to a campsite, it's worth it given the comfort they provide (we use them with camping pads on top). I love that it's all one piece, with nothing to assemble. Once the legs are fully extended, the cot feels very stable. I can sit on the side to put my shoes on without it tipping over. Also, there's no framing cutting you across the middle. The "sling" does sag a bit...but not much...and it keeps me from feeling like I'm going to roll off in the middle of the night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GPN1 Comfy Cot!
I used this cot on a trip to VT this past weekend and it was great! Set up in less than a minute. Super comfortable. Excellent quality. It was comfortable enough to sleep on directly without an air mattress. But because it was very cold at night, I put an uninflated self-inflating mattress pad between my sleeping bag and the cot just to provide some additional warmth from the airflow underneath. I purchased the cot mainly for camping in lean-to's to get up off the floor, but I like it so much I will probably find other excuses to use it now!
