I indulged in a new pair of LL Bean Mary Janes. I still have the others from last year and the year before that-----They never wear out! They hold their shape year after year after year and feel comfortable all the time, too. Great shoes!

I ordered the beige Vacationland Mary Jane to replace the same model shoes I purchased in 2011. The new model is long for a size 7 and the back of the shoe is almost 1/2 inch higher than the original model. This causes a rub on the ankle that is very uncomfortable. By adding a small arch support to the original model, I had a light, comfortable summer walking shoe. Please bring back the original design, the solid colors and check the sizing. Thanks

I have 6 pairs of these shoes, all different colors, they all fit wonderfully, except this last pair(FEB2014). they're all the same size, but the new pair is much winder and seems to run bigger, all over than the past 5 pairs?.Is a new company making them now, or what would be the difference? Otherwise, I'm sold on them...

Trying to find proper footwear for the Orlando theme parks is a challenge since it's many miles of walking in addition to often getting wet on rides, at shows, etc.
These shoes seemed perfect. I ordered my normal shoe size of 7.5. They were HUGE. I mean, I could literally put my fist in the back of the shoe with my foot in it. I exchanged them for a 6.5 which are still a bit loose, but better. I have narrow feet, but it seems these shoes are abnormally wide. The extremely high back of the shoe also nips at my tendon pretty painfully. The mesh material used on the inside of the shoe bed is also very harsh and uncomfortable. Super disappointed. If these are redesgined with what seems to be very popular complaints kept in mind, this could be a winning shoe. For now, the search continues...

I bought these shoes for walking, and they are great. I didn't have to break them in. The length of the shoes are a little too long, but with socks, the fit is okay.

I need more form to a shoe. It is a little too casual for me.

I BOUGHT THESE SHOES SIX MONTHS AGO. YES, THEY RUN BIG (TOO LONG, MEDIUM WIDTH IS AVERAGE) AND YES, THE BACK OF THE SHOE RIGHT ABOVE THE HEEL IS TOO HIGH. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE SHOES ARE SUPER LIGHT AND CONVENIENTLY AIRY AND COME IN CUTE COLORS. THESE COULD BECOME AN LL BEAN CLASSIC, SO PLEASE LL BEAN DO SOMETHING TO LOWER THE TALL BACK PART OVER THE HEEL AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO KEEP BUYING THEM FOR MANY YEARS TO COME!

I really wanted to love these shoes. I got them in Gray Mist with the apple green trim, and they're very cute. The fabric accommodated my rather wide feet as I slipped them on. But there's something strange about the back of the shoe. It comes up very high at the back of my ankle and angles sharply in to the point of being quite uncomfortable. Regretfully, back they go.

the shoes are just lovely especially the cement color combination. But the back of the shoes just comes up too high so its really irritating to my bony ankle.
The foot bed is nicely padded and the toebox is roomy and breathable. The shoe flexes and bends comfortably. Just really a great shoe but that piece above the heel just irritates so badly I really couldn't keep them. My advice is to try them on in the store first.
