Although I bought the correct size for my son, it was way too big. Even with adjusting the straps, it looks to be at least 2 sizes too big.
But he loves it! Wouldn't even hear of me returning it. He especially loves the color. So, I guess I won't need to buy him sandals next year.

I bought this sandal for my daughter in May, and was back in July to purchase them for my son when his (other brand) summer sandal wasn't living up to my expectations -- the sole was separating from the base by July 4th! I prefer the Cool Wave's velcro being on top of the foot as opposed to behind the heel on other brands. These sandals are cushiony, supportive, flexible and airy. That said, there is one flaw -- the footbed is not treated with a anti-microbial finish. I think that would greatly reduce the stink factor! Currently, I scrub them in the sink as needed and let them air dry. I would prefer it be longer between scrubbings, but otherwise, it is a good sandal at a good price.

these sandals have been awesome! My 5 year old loved them and so did I. They fit perfect and were comfortable. No rubbing or blistering with the straps. He could put them on by himself and the straps were always secure. They have held up all spring and summer and still look great to start school in. He is very active and tough on shoes. They've been worn to the beach, stomping in mud and puddles, church, school, and just playing and running outside. Will definitely be buying more!!!

I ordered these for my 7yo son because I wanted comfortable sandals, open toe, good quality and not super expensive, since he will certainly grow out of them before next season. These are perfect. He likes the "cool" camo pattern and thinks they are very comfortable. They are also adjustable and the length is perfect. They look very durable, but I don't know how well they will hold up, so 4 stars for now.

As the sizing seems to be the hot topic, I will review that part first. My son wears a size 11 sneaker, normal width. I ordered the 11 sandal. I think the extra toe area is a little growing room and my son likes light socks with his sandals sometimes. He ran about the house in them just fine. I love LLBean and always know if I do make a mistake I can return them easily at any store.

We ate preparing for an active vacation later this summer. Boys loved the camo pattern and no complaints about rubbing or blisters. Very pleased with my purchase.
