Rated 4 out of 5áby WisSnowOwl Dry Pants!
For the short time I've had them they have been good pants, so far water proof. I ordered a medium-regular and they fit well (both waist and inseam) and accurate. Although others have commented about the bottom of the legs and lack of Velcro, what is there works well for a variety of boots. I will update as I gain more experience with them.

Gore-Tex rain gear is ridiculously expensive. I bought these as the least expensive Gore-Tex product I could find. They are pull-on pants with NO ZIPPER OR FRONT POCKETS. They fit over clothes OK, and the length is short enough for my 30" inseam. They are light weight, and I wonder how they will hold up to golf course or camping. I recommend them, but only if the buyer knows what he/she is getting.

Rated 5 out of 5áby hackergolfer Great for rain golf
The Stowaway line including the pants and jacket are fantastic for golf in the rain. They are absolutely magnificent if you play golf in the rain in Scotland. And also a great value compared to other golf rain gear.

Rated 5 out of 5áby NAD28 A must have for winters in New England
Great for every season - hiking in the rain or shoveling snow in the cold New England winter. I have had a pair for years. I finally convinced my husband to try a pair and he loves them.

I spend a good deal of time working outdoors as well as watching sporting events. These pants are a great weight & appear to be just what I need to stay dry whatever the .weather. They are replacing ones that I have worn for over 20 years. Here's to another 20!

Rated 2 out of 5áby BetaDawg Oh gosh you wrecked this pant
I just purchased my third pair of Stow Away Rain pants with Goretex. I opened them this morning excited....(my son stole my 10 year old pair). Darn....the bottom of the pant is open with a snap. No gathering no opportunity to Velcro close the bottom like the past pant.
These pants HAD BEEN one of the most awesome all around pairs of outer wear that I own. I wore them on stormy days on Casco Bay and to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.
In order to have a pain pant that can function it has to be closed on the bottom. Who at LL Bean keeps getting the bright idea to restyle stuff.
PLEASE STOP WRECKING GOOD PRODUCTS.
I am returning mine and this I believe is the fist time in 45 years I have taken back something to LL....because some one there got the bright idea to change a good thing. BTW one color of goretex pants? Call me if you need advice in the future...I am in the book.
Love Beans...hate hate this pant

I purchased these with the intention of keeping them in my truck and using them when I have to work in the rain or particularly biting wind. I got the size medium and I am a size 34 waist with a 30 inch inseam. The ones I got fit well over my Levi trousers and belt and the zip up sides made putting them on easy. They are stretch top pants so there is no button or fly for bath room breaks(hence 4 vice 5 stars). I have only used them once so far and it was not very wet but the wind made it bad. Once I put these on I was able to keep working and stay comfortable. Good investment on my part I think.

These pants have several issues that were not present in the earlier version which I have used for a number of years for winter commuting on my bike and in the summer on canoe trips. These have an external pocket which has a flap but a non-waterproof zipper. The earlier model had an internal pocket. The leg zippers are also just covered with a flap and are not waterproof whereas the earlier one had a gore-tex gusset behind the zipper so even if water came through the zipper it did not getter further. And previously the cuffs were elasticized so water did not splash in through the bottom. These don't have that feature. All-in-all a disappointment. I'm returning them.

Light weight, water proof. Stuffs in it's own pocket. It's a great piece of insurance as I fly to clients most weeks for work. Never know what kind of weather I am going to get. Nice to slip on over dress pants in a storm. And backpacking, they easily slip over therms and shorts for good layering and temperature control when you have crisp mornings and then the temperature rises. For summer camping in Virginia, I will likely switch to my existing non-gore-tex uber thin shell pants. All in all, I'm glad I got them. Solid piece of kit. They are spendy, but worth it. I got them along with the Stowaway jacket (had a gift certificate) and in the 2014 snow/rain storms, I've been perfectly dry. And that's the real value proposition. I KNOW I will be dry. Nothing worse than hiking and being cold and wet.
As for sizing, I'm 6'1", 32" inseam, 36" waist, 185 lbs, and the L fits well on me.
