I bought this raincoat about 4 months ago and have used it extensively this spring and early summer. Overall I have enjoyed it very much and it certainly delivers on repelling rain/snow/sleet/etc.
My only complaint would be that for a XL-Tall it assumes that you are a wide person as well as a tall person. The L-Tall was not a good fit either. The wider coat worked just fine in the cooler months because I typically had on thicker clothing, but now that it is warm out it feels too big with just having a thin shirt on.

I bought this for those occasions when it is warn or cool and it is raining or misting. Does a great job and is not overly hot. do not know why I waited so long to buy.

Just took an extended tour of the Western Rockies from the desert heat of Southern Arizona to the snow covered high wind freezing cold of the high regions of Wyoming and Montana. I had to pack light because of travel restrictions. This jacket and a wool sweater that I also purchased for this trip were perfect. They are light, very warm and dry. They do not take up a lot of space in a suitcase and are very flexible for wearing when the weather is changeable.
I highly recommend this product.

Prior to taking a cruise to Barcelona and Italy, I purchased the stowaway jacket. It kept me perfectly dry (without umbrella) in an all-day drizzle in Florence, Italy and during other showers during the trip. Plus the zippered pockets were perfect for securely protecting my passport and billfold. It's light and very packable.

Love my new LL Bean rain jacket. Extremely comfortable, waterproof, nice number and placement of pockets, not too hot yet kept me warm. Lightweight and easy. I anticipate wearing this jacket many, many times over many years!

The Stowaway Jacket could be better if it was a couple of inches longer LL Bean. It would not make any difference in the packability of the jacket, especially because you elected to use nothing but nylon mesh on the inside. Even for the one and only inside pocket at the bottom. The arms are a perfect length and the zipper is good. The fabric on the collar is a great touch to keep the your neck warm in the rain.
Of course the Gore-Tex will keep you dry from the waist up, but I would prefer to have it longer because I am 190 lbs and 6'2"; which the medium tall is a real good fit with only a t-shirt on. But up here in the Northwest were it's 45-50 degrees a lot of the time, the jacket could be a little warmer for my liking.
Overall a good jacket, but only mesh lining on the inside makes me feel LL Bean is cutting corners to save on cost.

I got this jacket for a summer study abroad in Ireland, but it has been raining almost consistently before leaving so I have got some use out of it. The jacket is very comfortable and keeps me warm and dry. The ability to hide the hood is a big plus for days when it had stopped raining, but was still chilly enough to need the jacket.
I cannot complain about anything so far, and I can tell the quality should make this jacket last me a long time.
