The moonbeam clock is a classic design. It keeps great time, and wakes you gently instead of scaring you to death. The muted face light is a nice touch. I love that it has customizable features: you can turn the clock face light on/off; you can choose between flashing light only, flashing light with bell, or bell only; the bell has high/low volume. The bell is friendly sounding, not clang-y like old alarm bells. The light starts off with low intensity, getting brighter as it awakens you. It also has a snooze button on top which is a nice feature. It also has battery back-up for power failures. When you pick it up, or flip any of the switches, it feels like a quality product. Highly recommended for anyone wanting vintage style that looks and works great.

Is it possible to be in love with a clock? If so, then I'm smitten for sure! The soft glow is just perfect for a little night light, not too intrusive or distracting from slumber. Love the Decco styling and easy to read face and the alarm bell doesn't make me want to throw it against the wall. I only wish I'd bought this sooner!
So far all of the LL Bean home products I have purchased have been quality pieces that met or exceeded expectations. This little clock is no exception.

I really love this clock. It looks nice on my nightstand, is very easy to read, and I like to keep the muted dial light on at night so I can see what time it is if I awaken in the dark. It's a substantial clock. I'm planning on ordering at least 2 more for other bedrooms in the house. I would give it a try if you're considering it - I am really happy I did!

Unlike other old fashioned clocks that make a loud ticking noise as the second hand moves, this clock does not make an audible tick. In the past, I have used a light on a timer as a silent but effective alarm. This clock alarm clock is great because it offers the choice of using the light alone or in combination with the alarm. Plus, it's just a great looking clock with vintage style.

I was looking for another Big Ben, only to discover that the design had been changed, and the small one was not available. So I tried the Moon Beam model, and really like it, much better. you can adjust the setting so that it is light only, or light followed by sound, and there are two settings for the sound. It is effective, but not obtrusive, doesn't wake you up angry! It has a nice retro look and feel to it. Very easy to set and use, and quite good looking.

Nice, retro clock that is actually easy to use, easy to see, and looks great with my vintage bedroom furniture. This clock can be used with any decor. It's a pleasure to be able to figure out how to set the alarm!

I have used a purple moonbeam alarm clock for several years, loved it so much I just bought a green one for the guest room, where I sleep occasionally. The back-lit face is easy to read and the flashing light wakes me up without disturbing the rest of the house. A great art deco design, practical, and with battery back-up, absolutely reliable. Do I need a blue one as well? Maybe for Xmas...

I have been wanting this clock for such a long time...but 49.00...hmmmm...finally I broke down and got one for my side table....I was soooo excited....now I am just sooooo frustrated...it has stopped endless times...and finally today I have decided it has to go back...will I get another??? unfortunately, I had already bought another....a blue one...before the yellow one started acting up.....I will have to keep my fingers crossed on that one.......what a disappointment.......

This is the third moonbeam clock I've purchased within the past year. The first was for me, the second for my grandnephew as he entered middle school, and the third for his nurse mother to make her EARLY rising. Need I say more?

I ordered 2 Moon Beam clocks and love them! The alarm is not harsh, but you can depend on it to get you up and going! I only wish the numbers on the lighted dial would show up a little better, but, that is because I keep the clock across the room and don't have my glasses on, otherwise, they are great! So old fashioned, but modern.
