Rated 3 out of 5 by MidPennsy Good cloth, poor button placement
I was pleased with the cloth and length of the pants, but either the inner button at the waist should be a bit smaller or the measurement should conform to 33" on Bean's other pants. Then again, maybe I just got some irregulars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by qualitycontrol too long, not correct length
Have ordered these rather expensive pants for my husband several times. He is very picky about length. He like 29 inches which is actually too short so I add 1/4 inch to the length and ordered 29 and 1/4 inch (and I did recheck the order form that I printed out just to be sure). Using 2 tape measures, these pants had an inseam of 29 and 3/4 inch which actually makes a big difference to him which is why I order so carefully. Due to the $6.50 to return, we will just take them to a tailor here to get them shortened. The overall quality of the pants seem fine. The last item I ordered from LLBean really was not up to par in terms of quality at all---with the washing directions in Chinese and Spanish but not in English (duh) This incorrect length on these pants is just lack of quality control but that is VERY important. I have two more sale items I ordered yet to arrive and I hope they are okay. But after 30 years, I may be giving up on my favorite merchandiser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WKA23 Nice dress pants
Overall I like the pants very much. The fabric is nice and the fit was pretty much what I expected. The stitching on each of the bottom of each pant leg was better than I have experienced from other similar retailers. Only minor complaint is that the button hole for the button near the zipper is a bit small and requires extra effort to get the button in and out. Otherwise a nice pair of pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by OkieRazorback Decreasing quality
This used to be my absolute favorite pants to wear to work. Back in the day LL Bean used to offer a blend, but that went away a few years ago.
The cotton looks good for a few months then it starts to lose its body. Worse than it wears thin and starts fraying. If you are an office worker like myself, everywhere that rubs against a chair all too soon looks shabby. Basically the cotton does not last near as long as the blend.
Another gripe... they have moved the button on the French fly to a much higher and must less functional position. I absolutely hate the position. I suppose it saved a few cents in manufacturing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ConanB Not like they've been
I've been buying these trousers for around 15 years. They've been great. One thing I particularly liked about LL Bean was that if I ordered the same product, the fit, fabric, and quality would be the same. They are not on these trousers. The fit is tighter. The fabric seems lighter weight. The fabric for the pocket linings seems coarser, and the front pockets seem shallower. I'm returning them and buying comparable trousers from a competitor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Thomasr686 Not nearly as good as previous ones
The older version of these pants (I still have about 6 pair) had much better fabric. They were truly wrinkle free from the dryer as these are not. I have ended up sending the current ones to the dry cleaners at a cost of $7 a time. LL Bean, please go back to the old greenish version fabric! It was much better. Thank you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by PiedmontMtns Back Flap Pockets?
The pants are nice but why are they designed with back flap pockets? Unbuttoning the flap to access a wallet or handkerchief is a pain in the back pocket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Blenheim wrinkle resistance
A major factor in purchasing these pants was the claim that they are wrinkle resistant. I have worn them for 3-4 months and wish it were true. Otherwise, I am satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bogie51 Do not last more than 2 dozen washes
These pants are great at first, but within a year they start coming apart at the top of the waist band

Rated 4 out of 5 by Docguy Alterations
Love these khakis for fit and quality . They wear well, far superior to competitors. But...when Bean alters the length for you its a good chance the inseam bottom will fall out. It's happened to me two or three times. Tailors need more stitches here. Would like a chocolate brown color introduced then would have a different pair for every work day.
