These pants are great at first, but within a year they start coming apart at the top of the waist band

Love these khakis for fit and quality . They wear well, far superior to competitors. But...when Bean alters the length for you its a good chance the inseam bottom will fall out. It's happened to me two or three times. Tailors need more stitches here. Would like a chocolate brown color introduced then would have a different pair for every work day.

The wrinkle resistance is consistent to what I've come to expect from LLBean and the fit was as described compared to the regular chinos I was used to, but I have to agree with one of the earlier commenters, the zipper is just too short if you plan to use the restroom without having to completely undo your belt and buttons. Also, the belt loops seem to wear down much easier than previous chinos. I will not be buying these again.

Bought this pant a year and a half ago. I don't normally wear better clothes, being retired and free of style monsters. Wore this pant a few days each in Ireland and China and during an earlier cruise. But, just came back from a cruise during which I acquired small stains on a back pocket which absolutely will not come out. So much for stain-free. What did come out, 'though, was the hemming stitching on both pant legs. Very poor workmanship during alterations. Took the pant to my local Asian tailor for quality workmanship. Disappointed with this costly, casual pant. I have another pair with similarly loose stitching which has not yet come apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FLJoe Great color and texture
I have ben an LLBean customer for over forty years and these pants live up to the quality I have been accustomed fro Bean. However this pair of trousers was offered in heather gray, a color I had never seen offered in 100% cotton. Fabric color is exceptional as is texture of pants. If you don't own gray (I own the other colors) I would definitely purchase one. Other colors are excellent also

The fit of these pants is really baggy in the seat. Not at all the dress twills I was expecting.

I have troubles finding a neutral grey that goes with everything, this is the exact color I like! With feature like a pocket watch pocket (yes I wear a pocket watch) and loose change pocket these are my favorite pants.

I bought these pants for my husband. The fabric and tailoring are very good, but the cut is too baggy in the seat and thigh areas. He was disappointed because he has had success with Bean's dress chinos in the past. These will work for someone who wants a fuller cut. Please offer these in a slim cut for those who are trim.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NJBiz Good fit/quality; short zipper, subject to stains
I'm tall (6'3") so it's tough finding pants that fit without tailoring. LLBean's hem-to-length policy made it possible to purchase two well-fitting pairs. So far they've held up well.
Two criticisms: The zipper is too short. I think I'm built normally but I have to unbutton the pants to use a urinal (TMI but, hey, you should know). And they seem to catch smudges and stains easier and give them up more reluctantly than other fabrics. Not sure if it's the texture, the no-wrinkle finish, or my imagination.
Overall I'm happy. They represent good value for this hard-to-fit customer and look good in my business casual consulting environment. But they could be better.

In the past these pants kept a neat look after repeated washings, but the ones I purchased recently come out of the dryer looking mussed, and they wrinkle when worn. They are definitely not a "dress" pant.
