These are great travel pants. The deep zippered pockets are perfect for keeping your wallet, passport and cell phone secure. Why doesn't LL Bean list the zippered pockets as a feature of these pants?? I spotted them in the photo when I bought the first pair. In the good old days Bean gave a complete, thorough description of apparel, including the weight of the fabric. For several years now, important details are often missing. One detriment on these pants-- the buttons on the pockets are so secure, neither you nor a thief can get at the contents.

These are good cargo pants with lots of features. I like the additional zipper pockets. Nice canvas fabric. Two strange things: the cargo pockets button holes are horizontal, not vertical, so they aren't easy to open one handed and the "natural fit" has way too long of a rise. Would sit well above the belly button. Wearing them at what I would call a normal waist results in a little more baggy look than most adult men would like. 1" shorter rise would make these just about perfect.

I gave these pants a pretty good wear test. Wore them a solid week reconstructing an outdoor deck in high 80 degree temperatures. They're filthy, but they held up well.
The fabric reminds me of my old rip stop jungle utilities. Breathable and dry out quickly. The pockets are roomy. I can carry a.380 mouse gun in the front pocket and a spare magazine in one of the zipper pockets without printing. A large wallet fits in the cargo pocket comfortably.
The only con is Bean's notoriously hit or miss sizing. It's never consistent. Luckily I ain't wearing them to no fancy dress balls, so I can live with the cuffs being a little too long and the waist a little roomy. Something their quality control folks need to take to heart, though.
Am I going to buy another pair? Yep. When they go on sale.

I have two pairs of these that I've purchased over the past 2 years. Just ordered another pair and what a disappointment. Where is LL Bean quality control? Ordered the same size as the other two but this pair is an inch smaller in the waist and 2" shorter in the inseam. So they're going back. Probably my last order.

These cargo pants are the summer version of LLBean's flannel-lined cargo pants.
For sizing, I am 5'5" and weigh 130 lbs. The Size 10 fits very comfortably on the four summer cargo pants that I have ordered, as well as the flannel-lined winter ones. I also ordered them in the summer shorts version, and they fit great -- all in size 10.
I do sew the button on the waist band a tad over (but not much) to loosen the waist band on the summer cargo pants, but I would not have to do so. It is merely my personal preference.

These are my go-to cargo pants: tough, long lasting, lots of pockets and I love them. I have all the colors available.

Great fit, soft substantial material and more pockets than I know what to do with. Only one suggestion. I take a 31 inch inseam and LLB only does even numbers in this product which means that I had to have them shortened. LLB, how about providing odd number inseams.

I've always preferred LLBean "cargo" pants because the "cargo" pockets tend to be on the front of the thigh, and somewhat slimmer than other so-called "cargo" pants. So, if you're going out to eat, and want to dress casually, you don't necessarily look like someone just in from yard work. Having had my pockets picked in South America, and having had an attempt made in Europe, I wanted some pants that might give me additional protection..These are well-protected. On each hip, there's a zippered slash pocket in addition to the regular slash. (That's four already). Then, the two hip pockets each have a flap over the pocket, and underneath are TWO buttons. Then, the two "cargo" pockets -- which are slim if not filled with cargo--are partially on the front of the thigh AND they are also protected by a flap and TWO buttons. (That's a total of EIGHT pockets, SIX of which are protected by either a zipper or by a flap and double buttons). I usually carry a phony wallet in my hip pocket when traveling. It contains a couple of bucks and and a dead credit card. I carry my real cash in one of the protected front pockets, or tucked inside my waistband in a hidden zipper pouch. (So if you're a pickpocket, you'll now need to find out who I am, and which country I'm traveling to, and when I'll be in which city, and where I'm staying. Good luck!) The fit of these trousers are just right for me, and they have an abundance of protected pockets, The quality of the fabric and of the stitching is excellent. I'm highly satisfied and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have 3 pair Allagash Cargo Shorts and 2 pair of Allagash Cargo Pants, if that tells you anything. They're as described, fine quality and wear well. If there is one drawback, it's the double hidden buttons (2) on the rear pockets that are sometimes hard to unbutton to get to your wallet. It can be awkward trying to unbutton the pocket while standing in the grocery line and holding up traffic. The same double and hidden buttons are on the cargo pockets but less of a bother. But I knew that when I ordered and it's not enough of a negative to detract from the quality of the product.

A girlfriend bought me a pair of these years ago. I forgot how wonderful they were until I purchased another pair a few weeks ago. Light fabric, great stitching and cut. I'm disappointed with the cut of other cargo pants I found out there. Not so with these. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for another sale (hint, hint) so I can buy another pair.
