Here it is October and you are already out of Women's sizes in this vest. Shame on you! This is my best winter choice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by spotter22 wish there was a petite option
I like the long length of this to prevent drafts up the back, but for my short frame it's too much. I wish there was a petite option. Another issue is the arm holes. If there was a petite option then it would solve some of this problem, but not all of it. I think the designers planned large armholes so it could fit over something else, but since this is such a lightweight fleece, I'm wearing it over just a T-shirt and likely under something bulkier. Oversize armholes are not needed in a lightweight fleece. Save it for the bulky weight fleeces that are the top of the layering system and more likely to be worn over a sweater.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nightgale Not so nice
Material very thin, so thin the outline of lining for pocket shows thru in midsection area. Got and returned a few colors, not a single one is attractive. Wishy-washy pastels are great for some, but do not flatter a size large brunette. Zipper pull tiny plastic thing you can hardly grab.
Nothing great about this vest, just a flimsy vest that should be $25. To be fair, a few months earlier I purchased the "Trail Model" fleece vest. At a glance online they seem similar, but they are not at all.
The "Trail Model" has more substantial fabric, functional pockets, a high collar that keeps out a chill, a rugged zipper, and plenty of room tor moving around. Still a panoply of weird colors, but that is LLB.

In my previous review, I said I would have liked zippered pockets, but what I have found is that with the deep interior pockets, zippered pockets are not really necessary. I would also like to comment how nicely this vest hangs, the length is good (I'm long waisted) and the princess seams create a nice look and fit. Also, I ordered the elderberry color which looks like a true purple or royal purple in the pic but it isn't that color at all. It's a red purple or the color of the inside of a Stanley plum. (purple plum)

On recommendations of other reviews, I ordered a size up and I'm glad I did. My only regret, also voiced by other reviewers, is that the pockets don't zip. I think for the price, zippers could have been included. I haven't wore/washed it enough yet to know how it holds up and whether it piles. Do really like it so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CTlongtimecustomer added benefit of Comfort Fleece Vest
As a breast cancer patient and now survivor, I have had multiple reconstructive surgeries. With each surgery has come needing some drains in me for a minimum of two weeks. These drains come with about 3 feet of tubing and are very awkward and are continually getting in the way or pulled on, ouch! I already owned 5 of the comfort fleece vests and discovered an added benefit that I had to share. Every LLBean vest has inside pockets which are such a big help. I tuck my drains in those pockets and they are out of sight and protected from painful tugging. I have worn my LLBean vests every day during my recovery, even over my pjs. Thank you for such a great product with an added benefit.

The material and the color are good enough that I sent back the Medium for a Large. Quite nice fleece. The medium was tight in the chest, though fine at the hip. The large was just about as tight at the top and loose at the bottom, like a triangle or a pear. I'm dressed by LLBean pretty much head to toe but not this time. Too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RatherbeinaNationaPark Wonderfully comfortable vest.
I love these vests and have them in several colors. The fabric is very soft inside and out. The arm holes are cut well and the fit is very flattering. I recommend them above the fit of the trail model vests. Fit is true to size. I usually layer mine over long sleeve shirt or light fleece. Please keep these LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BuffaloGal36 A Winter Must-have !
I live in the Buffalo area, and I wouldn't survive our winters without this vest. I also love it for cooler fall/spring days. I literally put it on every morning over a boatneck tee when the temperature is a only bit cool, or over a turtleneck when it's freezing. It's always cozy and warm without limiting my arm mobility. I love this vest, and have ordered more colors. It's the most used item in my wardrobe! Washes beautifully inside out in cold water.

I'm an XS in LL Bean tops (5'4", 34A bust, 29 waist & 39 hips) and the XS in this vest was true to size. It has a slim fit, which I prefer. The snug fit works well for wearing over tops & underneath a jacket/coat. But the vest also has enough stretch that it also works over a heavier weight sweater. The exterior pockets are sufficient for keeping hands warm but are not very secure for holding items. But the two top-loading interior pockets are large & secure. I bought this vest in cream and it is a light, neutral & versatile color. This is a no-frills, warm, comfortable & simple vest.
