Why is it that everything has to be "easy care"? Chambray cloth is very comfortable and meant to get softer with age. Ironing is a breeze, if you need to do it at all. I wish LL Bean would keep some of their classic cotton items natural, and leave the chemically-treated "easycare" materials for dressier items where customers prefer the convenience.
I should have stocked up on shirts made with the old material because these supposedly chambray shirts feel like cheap polyester.

Love These Shirts. They wear well and are very easy to maintain.
I hope they remain in your inventory!!!

I couldn't resist this 2-a-dqy special for my husband. It washes and wears well out of the dryer and he loved the striped print. You did it again, Bean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by LLBeanShopper520 Color was WAY off what was shown
My wife bought this for me because I love the Chambray shirt material used by LL Bean, and was happy to find a color (LAKE) that I didn't have. But when I received it, I found the color to be WAY off from what was shown on the website. The wide blue stripes were in fact gray, the narrow blue stripes were in fact black, the red stripes were in fact orange. Nothing like the picture at all. It looked like 10 years worth of fading at the very least. I almost sent it back but decided to keep it (marginally) despite the fact it was not nearly as nice as shown. Never had this happen before. What a disappointment!

Heavily treated cotton looks good but is stiff and abrasive; breaths like a plastic sack. My wife like the color so I'll keep it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 2006GT Not the same chambray as before!
I first bought these chambray shirts and was amazed at the fit and the ability to keep the crease in the sleeve after washing. They still fit but this shirt is enough too small to be a little uncomfortable. There is no crease after washing and sadly with the other chambray shirts I've purchased here lately. I sent the brick red one back to exchange for an XL. I hope it is OK. It still isn't here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CaptMike Best Short Sleeve Shirt Ever
I love button down collars and I love shirts that don't wrinkle. I own at least 7 or 8 of these shirts. Take them on my travels - They do not wrinkle even when placed in suitcase. Will continue to buy more and hope you add more color choices. Great shirt!

Well- made shirt, but it has a slight chemical odor that does not wash out, even after multiple washings. I assume this has to do with the chemical treatment to make the fabric "easy care"

I wish I could find another shirt that comes out of the wash like the first Vacationland Shirts that I got my husband. I have given up that search and since he can't wear them all of the time, I'll deal with the minimal ironing these require. They are very nice.

Quality is subpar. Material is shiny and looks like something you would find at a discount store. I've got some great shirts from LL Bean but these can't compete.
I sent them back without trying them on.
Color for blue chambary was different than what was photographed.
