I have owned this skirt for three years. I also have three tucked away for the future just to be sure I always have one on hand. I usually wear a black tank suit with this (black) skirt over it to cover my 50 + legs and to add a leaner look to my plus size body (20 - 22).
I have worn the same skirt for two years in and out of my backyard pool almost daily which has a good amount of chlorine as well as to the beach numerous times.
Last year I took out a new skirt to wear away on vacation. To my surprise I could not tell the difference between the one I had worn in the chlorine and sun for two years and the brand new one. There was no difference in the color of the fabric, nor did the older one show any signs of wear.
I am about to embark on a vacation where in need bathing suits and wish to have conservative coverage. I will be wearing the BeanSport skirts, shorts and crops with a tank suit and also a two piece tankini so I can mix and match as needed for ship, boat, shore, beach and snorkeling excursions. My only wish is that they make these forever without change. Perhaps an additional skirt in a slightly longer length would be nice.
I must also state that I love the deep pockets - which stay flat!

I purchased a L in cobalt. The cobalt is not very dark and doesn't seem to match the swim suits I own. I need a black and unfortunately they are sold out. Sizing is good. I wish it was just a bit longer so I could wear it for other purposes besides beach. It would be a terrific golf or tennis skirt if it was a bit longer to retain some modesty. The material is so lightweight that it will ride up very easily, fine for beach with swimsuit under.

I like to wear cover ups a little big and wear low but made a mistake ordering this in large instead of medium. Just ordered 2 more in medium. Not clingy and doesn't stick to you like a lot of them do and dries FAST. A little overpriced, but worth it if you like it.

The skirt does not look exactly like in the picture; it is a bit baggy and the wrinkle aroud the waist is not flattering at all.

I ordered two in an xs and they are "cute" alright! I am 5`2" and I do have good legs and I shall wear these skirts just about anywhere..well,almost!!Also I am not 20, either!! Good fabric..I chose the darker blue and the brilliant blue which is great and I have an L.L.Bean shirt to match it!They are well made..good slash pockets..draw string at front..and they are short... but so cute!! Thanks for your help and to L.L.Bean.I have not seen these, anywhere else!!

I have been wearing these skirts for years - and turned several of my friends into fans, too.
Wear them a lot at the beach, but also at home and in the boat (just the right length, so I can move my legs around climbing in and out of the boat, but not too short)
My ultimate favorite one is lavendar. Bought it years ago and have never seen it since!
Love the black one and have the turquoise, although it doesn't go with much - and the dark blue is just kind of a weird color. I wear it around the house only.
So..... My comment is:
Please keep this skirt in your stock, but could you offer some other colors??? The four offered have been the only ones for years. :(

I was looking for a plain black skirt that I could wear over my bikini while on cruises, sailboats, snorkeling, beach etc. I have board shorts but they didn't fit right and always have patterns and colors that didn't match my swim suits. Well, I found this skirt and it's on sale so I gave at a try. I'm 5'3" and 108lbs. My waist is 26" and hips 36". The XS fits perfectly. A little room in the waist and hips but nothing that's baggy or oversized. It fits me right below my belly button and doesn't squeeze me so I have muffin top. Also, it hides a small belly pooch. This skirt just fits me perfectly. There is some elastic on the sides and the front drawstring is functional, but it's only a few inches and not around the entire waist. So the drawstring isn't for major waist adjustments. There are 2 large side pockets. This skirt on me is fingertip length. Perfect length. Fabric is substantial. I got black and there won't be any issues with being see through, even if it's wet. I may even start wearing this skirt during the summer instead of shorts. I may get another color if still available. It's that comfortable. You will be pleased with this item.

I should have believed the earlier reviewers who suggested to order a size down. Happily, LL Bean quickly exchanged my medium for a small, and I'm very pleased with this stylish skirt. It's lightweight, dries quickly and by pulling on a shirt I can keep my suit on and make a quick trip from beach to market. The pockets and draw string at the waist are both nice features.

Been wearing size 14 lately, 5/7", about 160lb., .... ordered large and it's been fine with fit. Some reviews said it's too short, but I find it hits about the same height as an exercise skort does. It's clearly to be worn as a swimsuit cover, so I'm not concerned with any see-through issues (I ordered white). The pockets are wonderful. Elastic waist is good for changing location of where you wish to wear it. If I'm feeling like it's short for an errand I can pull in down more on my hips and it adds 2 inches. I wish it came in many more colors!!! It's very lightweight feeling, yet strongly made and is very quick to dry.
