I bought this and the V neck style and was surprised this had less support and showed more cleavage than the v neck. Material is nice, it is comfy but I had to return it.

I have been looking for a simple, black, tank top style bathing suit top for a long time. I have tried Bean's tank top styles in the past but they did not fit very well. The top part was always so narrow in the shoulder while the bottom was very wide. It was shaped like a bell. FINALLY, This top is more evenly proportioned!! I love it. It is comfortably snug, not too tight nor too loose. The scoop neck is the perfect scoop, not too low or too high. The bra inside is perfectly fitted to the size of the garment. The fabric is silky smooth and a good weight. I bought 2 in black.

I would have given this five stars based on the color and style of this suit, as it is very appealing. (I bought the coral scoop neck geo print tankini top and solid coral bottom.)
I have rated it three stars, however, because there is absolutely no bust support and the suit runs a bit large. I ordered my usual size, which is a plus size, and it is a bit roomy. I have decided to keep the suit and have purchased a sport bra in a coral color and will wear it under the tankini top for support. Not ideal, but as a large chested gal, I can't go all day in a bathing suit with no support without being extremely uncomfortable. If you aren't big busted and don't need a lot of support, it is a lovely suit but I recommend ordering a size smaller than you usually wear.

love this tankini, got the coral geo print top with the black skirt bottom. It is so flattering on, can't say enough good things about this suit, had an LL bean tankini set about ten years ago and loved it back then too. My husband who doesn't notice much complimented on how good it looks. It is best to rinse suit in the sink, I wouldn't put it in the machine, maybe on hand wash but prefer to rinse in sink. Hope LL Bean contiues to keep this basic style, it's perfect, have tried other suits like this with underwires and they are uncomfortable.

THIS TOP WITH THE MATCHING BOTTOMS FITS GREAT !
THE MATERIAL IS EXCELLENT AND THE COLOR(COBALT) IS BEAUTIFUL ! I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES WITH LLBEAN IN THE SWIMSUIT AREA AND HAD NO SUCCESS. I AM A PLUS SIZED WOMAN THAT LIKES A GOOD QUALITY SUIT IN A NICE COLOR THAT STAYS WHERE I PUT IT. OMG !!! I'M SO HAPPY WITH THIS 2 PIECE(WHICH ALLOWED ME TO ORDER THE TOP A SIZE LARGER). AS FAR AS PRICE GOES - $100 IS THE TOP END FOR ME BUT I BELIEVE IT IS A REALLY GOOD CHOICE.

I ordered this top in the Tropical Blue/Black Stripe to go with a pair of black Swim Joggers and was hopeful that it would work out. Sadly, it just doesn't work on me. The cut is very blocky and makes me look the same. I am 5'5" tall, 120 lbs., and an active 65 year old. The fabric has a cheap feel to it, and the striped pattern material was cut right side up on one side and upside down on the other...there is a definite sequence to the size, shape, and color of the stripes. There is also no attempt to match the stripes going around the piece. Back it goes!

I just bought 2 different colors in this top because it fit so well. One of the other reviewers said that she didn't like it because she thought it was too long, well, if you are short waisted like me and are looking for something to lengthen your upper torso this is perfect! I bought these tops with the swim skirt and could not be happier. I also have a 5 year old that I need to play with in the pool a lot so this has ample coverage so I don't feel like I'm falling out. Great top, thanks LL Bean!

I love this top. I now have 4 of them. I travel a lot to tropical places and can wear this for swimming or with shorts. I will probably get another before my next trip.

I ordered the striped top in two sizes not knowing which one would fit better. Unfortunately, the stripes don't match at the side seams on either top. I expect stripes to match at the seams on quality clothing. At the price of this top, I expected higher quality. I hoped to go to the bricks and mortar LLBean in my area to see if I could find a better matched top but I see they aren't in stock there yet. :( Still debating whether to just return both and try again....
