They wore like iron. I bought the new set, including this vest, because the 'old' ones washed so well (I washed them often) and stayed true to size and color. So far these are performing just the same....I feel it is a good investment. January 23, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5�by Sparisland Functional but pedestrian I bought one of these previously that I wear often. I expected this vest to be similar in weight and "feel" but It simply is not. It looks and feels like a Pacific RIm replica of an LL Bean vest rather than the real thing. It is adequately warm but it simply lacks character. My wife joked that "It's not your Father's LL Bean fleece" and sadly, I agree. January 16, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by mtnwalt My Favorite Vest! I love these Wind Challenger Fleece vests and own 3 of them (One my wife keeps stealing so actually only have 2!!) I live in Southern Oregon & am outdoors a lot in all kinds of weather. This vest has been my only winter outer wear replacing more bulky jackets. I only need to add a rain protection layer when it rains. I especially like the zippered outer pockets & the two large mesh interior pockets!! In fact I refuse to buy a vest without these interior pockets! You'd be surprised how much you can carry in there... The only defect is in the zippers...they tend to separate ... usually I can rezip them ok but eventually they become a nuisance. I have returned two so far in the last 5 years & am about to return two more for the same reason. C'mon LL Bean give me some more durable zippers please! Otherwise a perfect vest! January 11, 2013
