I bought my first bag what is now a diaper bag when it didn't have a changing pad in it, back then it was called a large travel bag. I loved it and I still do, so I purchased another one. I use mine to go to work it carries everything I need. It's just the right size it's waterproof the pockets keep things I want organized and other stuff like my umbrella fits in the mesh on the end. I can find my phone easily and when I travel my travel documents are close at hand. It's perfect don't change a thing. Oh the monogramming I had added is also a nice touch. My older bag is eight years old and looks new, I just wanted another color.

OK - I got this as a gift for my nephew & his wife who have premie triplets & go to the doctor umpteen times a week with 1 or 2 babies. I like that it has a cross-body strap that allows 2 free hands while toting 3 bottles, a diaper changing pad & a convenient & secure place for purse items. It's super well planned. The black & gray looks great & vey un-diaper baggish which my nephew appreciated! Altho it can hold a lot of baby stuff, it's just the right size & not too overpowering to offset Mom with Baby in arms. Well designed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Walkerdaily BEST travel bag ever
In 30 years of travel, this is the best flight bag ever. We bought it when it was sold as a carryall, without the changing pad. The design is perfect-- all the pockets you need, where you need them. The zipper pocket on the flap is perfect for quick access to passport/ID, itinerary, a small notebook and pens. Under the flap is a large zipper pocket big enough for a book, glasses case, etc and has a small zipper pocket good for pills and bandaids, and a lanyard for keys. The main compartment also has a large zippered pocket ideal for emergency cash, extra credit card, medications, and small mesh pockets for other items, lotion bottle, etc. Best of all are the 2 exterior pockets on one end, with velcro flaps for quick access to a cellphone and a digital camera, and a mesh pocket on the other end for a water bottle or wet umbrella. The only change I would make would be increase the length by one inch. Then it would hold a 3-ring binder and would be great for school or business. Rating= 10 stars.

by NHtoCA One critical flaw
Overall I've been happy with this bag. It's a great size for one baby and there are lots of pockets, which makes keeping it organized much better. It's great for someone who wants to make this your only bag - the front pocket can easily stand in for a small purse.
Why three stars? The strap is constantly bunched up and twisted because the plastic ring connecting the strap to the bag on one side is not sewn tightly enough. See the photo for what I mean. It makes adjusting the strap tough and annoying.
I still like the bag but I'm constantly fantasizing about ways to fix this really irritating flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Redwaggin Big On Storage
As a first-time parent, I wasn't sure what to look for in a diaper bag. But I knew the ones I saw in the big-box baby stores were too cutesy, overpriced, and large. Years ago I received an L.L.Bean purse as a gift and still LOVE it (Healthy Back Bag), so I thought I'd check the site for diaper bags. Found this and so glad I did?great price, understated style and plenty of storage without being as big as a suitcase. Right now my daughter is 5 weeks old and the bag has more than enough space for her diapers, wipes, blankets, nursing cover, extra clothes, bottles and my wallet. When she is older and needs to tote toys, shoes, etc., the bag might be tight on room, but with all the pockets I'm not even using now, I doubt it. The only thing I would change is the Velcro closures all over the bag are SO LOUD to peel open. When I'm trying to keep the baby asleep, it's a bit of a problem. Other than that (and the fact that it was backordered and I had to wait a few weeks to receive), I am more than happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

We have had great luck with our backpacks and toiletry bags so this was the first place we looked for a diaper bag once needed. This bag could be bigger. We cloth diapered and there was not a lot of room for the diapers, covers, wet bag, and wipes. Once these are all inside there is little to no room for toys, books, nursing cover, changes of clothes and all of the little things babies need. We've had it for three years now, we still use it, and it is more useful since the little one is potty trained, but we have another on the way and will not be using this bag as there is no way it will work for two children.

Rated 5 out of 5 Carryall Diaper Bag
I love this diaper bag!!! The fabric is durable. Color is beautiful. I got the plum. I am an 'experienced' mom and I specifically purchased this item because it was smaller than most conventional diaper bags. If you are a new mom or have an infant, you may want something larger. I pack the main compartment with 4 diapers, wipes, creams, sippy cup, 2 snack cups, extra outfit and blanket and that pretty much packs the bag full. The exterior pockets are roomy and fit my wallet, keys, phone and a couple small toys. LL Bean should consider making this bag in two sizes, this size and one larger more like a conventional diaper bag... Infants just need more stuff than 12 months+

It has been almost a year, and this wonderful bag has been through so much! Being a nanny I have to carry extra toys, clothes and many other things that little ones require. I have also ran this bag through the washer and dryer and it is still water resistant.
When I am not working I use the bag as my purse, because of I am able to carry my e-reader and other items I like to carry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sbhart pretty good overall
We have had 2 of these diaper bags. They are pretty great overall. Lots of room and compartments. On both after a few months the rubber grip on the handle broke off and the handle has come detached from the bag. We have had no problem returning it but I wish they could come up with a solution for those issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Firststatemom Good bag but small
I am a first time mom and was looking for a gender neutral diaper bag with less bulk than what is sold in most baby stores. This bag definitely meets that criteria. It doesn't look like a diaper bag and I'm sure it can transition to a regular travel bag when we no longer have little ones. Like any Bean bag, the construction is flawless, very sturdy and durable. However, my desire for a smaller profile bag has backfired a little since I'm finding the bag to be a little too small for what I need to carry (I've been using it for 2 months now). The inner pockets protrude into the main storage compartment and limit how much can be stored in the main body of the bag. With diapers, wipes, blanket, bib, extra onesie, nursing cover and water bottle, the bag is stuffed. I can't imagine trying to also fit toys and snacks once baby girl is older. I'm also concerned it won't hold a full days worth of supplies that she will need starting at daycare next month and I might end up needing to send two bags. I was hoping to get away with just one. Overall a good bag but has its limits.
